Lounge of Justice - Part 90

I'm actually watching Bumblebee right now. One of the advantages I think of bringing Abrams aboard as producer is it would open the door for WB to consider second tier directors that they would not to be confident to consider on their own.

I always felt Justin Lin could deliver a great Superman flick.

The JJ Abrams coaching tree is more impressive than the man himself

Lindelof, Goddard, Matt Reeves, etc

a solid Obi Wan perhaps, but he’s no chosen one by any means

Give me quirky Superman.

Reading some of them spoilers for SW. Man, it kinda feels like the GoT final season.

@Kane52630 and @StarLord

Ya'll seen that trailer for 'Promising Young Woman' yet?

I got Hard Candy and Killing Eve vibes.

Carey Mulligan doesn't usually do it for me, but I'm interested in this a little.

Speaking of Killing Eve though. I watched a leaked clip from The Rise of Skywalker and...

Villanelle plays Rey's mama in a flashback.

Speaking as a none SW fan. Man, just give me a solo Vader flick of him hunting down rogue type jedi. Vader type of savage we got briefly at the end of Rogue One. Have him face off with Ewan one last time, before it goes to hell. Maybe, even a bit of a glimpse in flashback type/vision type with Hayden.

Or get away from them skywalkers, move forward into that lore and give me badass jedi. Tis' it. Lord knows I have tried to give these flicks a chance, but they are a bloody chore. That jedi game on ps4 looks damn cool tho, I might check it out.

And all this does is weaken the already pathetic argument that the critics are simply in SW/Disney's pocket.
Eh. I don't think anybody seriously believes that.

I don't think I want JJ's safe superman movie anymore

because even his brand of safe comes with a healthy dose of stupid
I hope You have seen Into Darkness, that was an epitome of stupid.
I wouldn't hate Travis Knight on Supes.
Man, Bumblebee was so incredibly meh.

Finished Doomsday Clock finally. Wow, if you're a Superman fan, you'll absolutely love this story.
Agreed I do wish Superman was in the book more physically but I love how they restored his position in the DCU and I also love how they created all these worlds which allows for more stories. They even brought back the New 52.

You bald bastahs forgot that Terrio had Affleck working with him. Affleck who is a very talented writer in his own right. Won a goddamn oscar for it. He was also 3 for 3 when it came to his own flicks.

Eh, you Supe fans can keep JJ tho!
I didn't forget that. Their Argo is the reason I was hyped for BvS.

I’m with you, brother. Even as much as I liked his first nuTrek movie for what it was, he never should’ve touched khan. Total butcher job.

I enjoyed Endgame for what it was, but did consider it flawed in ways. I think The Last Jedi was the most questionable one for me in recent releases. Of course, I don't go around Star Wars film forums and post my hate for Rian Johnson. I shrugged it off and tried to look forward to the next SW movie. I didn't let TLJ keep me from going to see Knives Out and enjoying that film. I'm actually happy that some people got something out of that film and that it worked for them. I don't put much into Rotten Tomatoes or other review sites. I just watch it for myself and come to an opinion on my own. That being said, I have heard from a few reviewers that they do have to consider pulling their punches towards certain films by a certain company or risk not being invited to screenings. It has also been reported back in 2017 that Disney blacklisted certain media groups from attending advanced screenings because of an article they posted about Disney's business practices. The only reason why they overturned that is due to the scope of the blacklist and it got pushed out in the open. I'm willing to bet that it still does happen on a more micro scale though.

Oh yeah, time-bending Nolan is the best Nolan, can't wait. (Okay, TDK was the best. :D)

The music in the trailer is the usual braindead modern stuff, can't tell if that's Goransson or not.
