Kinda feels like WB is hedging their bets with BoP and keeping the marketing budget very conservative. Feel like its gonna be a mixed divisive film.

It's R-rated women team-up film without comic book accurate costumes, I don't think hard core comic book fans will rush to see it in theaters as they did for Captain Marvel.

when's the last time bale did a comedy role beside american psycho?

who gives a sh** if the movie is by marvel or dc as long as its good.

It allows Bale to collect cool paycheck without worrying too much about the responsibility of carrying the movie.

I think post JL fallout the name of the game is keep marketing costs conservative. I remember even with Aquaman, things didnt really ramp up until about a month or so before release.

They will focus on the story of Hector and Isaac. At this point I don't think Simon's story should be used as continuation of this show, it should instead be its own standalone story.

The suit is an Action Costumes Superman: The Movie replica. Exact details. The only flaw is that the \S/ is heat transferred/pressed and not stitched. I didn't buy the Exclusive, more expensive. High end though!

finally watched rise of skywalker and last two episodes of mandalorian.

rise of skywalker - i was entertained, but the movie didn't soar to greatness for me.
for what is meant to close out the skywalker saga, it did not feel as poignant and as developed as i feel it needed to be.

carrie fisher passing away probably hurt it too as her scenes felt tacked on. but they did the best they could considering the circumstances.

i did like the actors in this new trilogy though - especially daisy ridley and adam driver as the leads.
action and fights were good to see on the big screen though.

but the story and just everything put together this time felt mediocre.
and i hate to say that about any star wars movies.
i grew up with this sh** bro!

jj abrams played it really safe. but then that was expected after such a strong backlash to the last jedi.
it is not always a complete positive to listen to the fans!

that is my initial reaction, maybe it'll change when i watch it again.
i didn't hate the film, i just did not like it as much as i wanted too.

mandalorian probably does a better job of expanding the star wars universe imo - should've let jon favreau write/direct the new trilogy, seeing what he's done here for mando.

Personally, I hope they pull a LoS where Simon was Trevor and Sypha's son. Castlevania without Simon Belmont just doesn't feel right to me.

I'm not sure they would go that route, they seem to be content with keeping their story mostly stick to the original timeline.

They can stick to the original timeline, just use Simon's origin from LoS where he was Trevor's son as opposed to a distant successor.
