Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Lets just ask the question:

Scott Derrickson on Superman. Would he be a good fit? Seems DC\WB has no problem snatching up directors from the MCU that didn't work out.

He’d probably have Supes act just like Aquaman while making Lois Lane and whatever villain they use utterly forgettable. And he’d rip off some less successful CBM in the process.

I genuinely feel Dr. Strange is one of the absolute worst MCU flicks by a wide margin.

Scott Derrickson would be a perfect fit for Spectre.

The MCU is proud to present... The Multiverse of Madness!!!

I guess the signs were there of trouble afoot when Derrickson was like “we’re making the first MCU horror movie y’all!” at comic con and then a couple months later Feige was all like “no the F we ain’t!” Lmao

That BOP soundtrack...I gotta listen to that Normani and Meg track.

It is weird hearing a Bruce Wayne reference when we’re in between Batmen. Like we got Pats but it’s not even clear what year he’s in much less which universe.

If the ending gag is a headless Bruce Wayne cameo...

Saw it, some new footage from the movie in it, the movie actually looks great visually speaking. I feel this song and the recent trailer will convince lot of people to go and watch it in theaters.

Rian Johnson:
Ah yes, let us get sidetracked and go to a casino planet to free some captive race animals. Because they are so furry and adorable. But we will leave the slave children remaining in bondage.

Disney Studios:
Wonderful! So much insight and depth! The modern audience will love such thought-provoking plotlines!

Got through season one of The Leftovers and starting season two and....man i know you guys keep telling me this is one of the greatest shows of all time but im struggling here. There are moments where the show really catches my interest but then it just gets weird and... i dont know, this isnt an easy binge for me so far.

I need some encouragement here lol

That's how I felt after trying to watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Here, I'll encourage you to stop watching the show. S1 was the best, by far. If you weren't even feeling that than S2&3 are going to be torture. The show is just a whole lot of nothing. Tons of setup, with no payoff. It's nothing but mystery box after mystery box with no answers. It seems to be the rage these days.

It's weird, cause people hated these empty mystery boxes with something like Lost, but for that past 5-6 years, everyone just eats it up. JJ and Lindelof seem to be the "it" guys for writing tv and movies, and they constantly bring these stories that never go anywhere. I honestly don't get it or understand why people are so in love with this type of storytelling. You devote all of these hours to a tv show/movie, so that the end has some weird twist, while it never answers anything that you followed. It works with anthology series like Twilight Zone, but not a continuous overarching story/series. I've said it time and time again about JJ and Lindelof: they're great at setting up a story with their mystery boxes, but they're terrible at sticking the landing. The same thing happened with Mr. Robot, which again, people seemed to love the ending, and I honestly don't know why.

i did see it.
i just thought that was a funny part about last jedi.
i liked the movie overall, but i thought parts like the canton bight casino side-plot wasn't so good.
they were emphasizing about freeing these poor, tortured animals.
but then they sorta treat the enslaved kids like an afterthought.

tho...they show later on one of them can use the force.

i enjoyed rise of skywalker as well. it was far from perfect tho.

Wow, ok thank you @Travesty i might just take your advice then. Yeah a whole lot of nothing is what it seems to be so far but if your telling me the show doesnt even reward your patience in the end then i’ll bow out gracefully here.

Titans S02 finally on Netflix Canada.

I thought they used real hyenas. Didn't we see set pics with hyenas?
Good joke. :hehe:

I mean if Ridley Scott could film The Martian in space, I don’t see why they couldn’t use real hyenas in BOPINO
What's with the INO crap? It's real BoP yo, cause Harleyquinn is always more important than Babs Gordon as a hero.
