Lounge of Justice - Part 90

My kid’s really into listening to Cats and Phantom of Opera at the moment, so I watched this compilation of Christie unmasking the phantom (spoilers)

Holy s***, wasn’t expecting that, the Japanese ones are like...lol, godzilla’s Human villains if he has one?

I saw the movie with Gerald Butler in it, and I liked the reveal much better there with the restraint, he was great in it except he can’t sing, he had amazing presence and acting and sang the flat toned songs really well, but when it comes to music of the night or those high notes he was a crack up. (Imagine Russel Crowe singing as Phantom)

It’s like Schumacher (yes the one that directed the last two Bat films in the 90s) used his two face props. He did really well and o think he is a respected director outside the Bat films? Masquerade had a way stronger presence than theatricals.

Gerald would be amazing as two face though, still not cast in Reeves film...and my man Patrick Wilson played the long hair white prince, he was great singing as well, like, Gerald was terrible in comparison lol. They could have gotten High Jackman if they just waited for 6 months, but oh well.

Ps I loved Ramin something’s version, his singing was amazing

Stay safe folks and charge your power rings regularly.

So, if they intend to make another Superman movie, they would be open to taking in pitches from different script-writers and directors.

So if the studio threw Superman at James Gunn, which he confirmed, then you'd figure they're trying behind the scenes to greenlight another Superman film? It basically comes down to pitch and a director?

I honestly don't know anything about this Gabriel dude but he just called the Batmobile stuff so I asked him "Optimistic about Big Blue anytime soon?" And he said "Yes".

Only time will tell I guess. Rumors are already going around (grain of a half of salt) that Henry is in talks for Shazam 2 and that begins filming in the summer so surely we'll see on that front in the next few months.

A Superman solo film has never been in active development since MOS. Unless something recently changed they have not hired screenwriters or a director. What they have done is have general meetings with filmmakers and allow them to choose from the DC character library. So technically Superman is always on the table if the director chooses him and gives a Superman pitch that is worthy of a greenlight. That's different than the studio actively pushing forward by hiring screenwriters specifically for Superman and approaching directors because they prioritized making a Superman film. An example is the Flash film. Sure, they have hit roadblocks each time but they have constantly put Flash in active development by hiring screenwriters and directors. They are not waiting for a filmmaker to chose him from a group of characters during a meeting.

Say what you want about the Green Lantern movie but I do think they made the suit look better in the movie than the comics.
Yeah, the movie suit design was not bad, I like Hal's and John Stewart's suits here -

But I hate this type of suit for Hal.

It's the same design but it's crazy how much more appealing it looks when the green portion doesn't cover his crotch anymore. I don't know why they still keep the mask though. He barely even spends time on Earth anymore and everyone in space knows who he is anyway, so why wear a mask.

In Earth One they don't wear a mask because the glow protects their identity.

The one item that keeps escaping me is a replica of the battery and ring from the GL movie. I am not a big GL fan but I would love to have that in my collection.

My job just sent out a company email about the virus and how we my have to work from home. People are really freaked about this thing.

Stay safe and sanitized, my friends.

yea i am getting daily emails from work about it.

in general, anyone who just came back abroad or have family that just came back abroad are being told to stay home for 3 weeks.

someone in my local county just died from it, actually. :csad:
it was an elderly passenger who just came back from a cruise from mexico.
so its nowhere near the epicenter of china!

they had pre-existing health issues though. still worrisome.

keep safe everyone! wash yo hands! don't touch your face!

I thought people here weren't paying much mind, then I noticed the supermarket soap isle was cleared out

i'm about to go to Costco to see what's up.

i hope i don't have to be like tobey here:

Costco’s in here in NYC are cleaned out. Eery stuff man. You cant even buy wet wipes at cvs.

Jesus. The 1% live and eat real well. I wished could’ve taken some pics. Brehs, this man might as well been an older Bruce Wayne. Swear to bald christ this place was his version of Wayne manor. Lake, tennis club, basketball court, lambo/ ferrari, a legit shelby cobra. Instead of an old british butler, he had a mexican housekeeper tho. Wild turkeys and deer running around.

No cliche foreign hot women walking about the pool area or anywhere else. Only real disappointment. Heh.

I do think WB is ahead of things on the Superman front than what they are letting on. Gunn turned down Superman, he didn't throw that to them or pitch him to them. Gunn even said it wasn't MoS2 per-say so they may have an outline on where to go next with Superman and they could have let him in on that direction. He just chose something else but I do believe there's ideas where to take Superman next. I don't think the character is necessarily dormat rather than an open book.

Trust me you will. It's that way here at BJ's, Sams Club and Costco.

just got back from my costco run.

it was not as bad as i expected.
paper towels and napkins were out of stock - but some toilet paper was still available.
almost every customer just put one pack in their cart - did not see anyone stockpile stuff really.

i got one pack of tp, a pack of anti-bacterial wipes, a bag of mini-croissants, eggs and canned tuna.

not will smith i am legend levels preparation, but this should do for now.

Things change at WB all the time and maybe things are in motion behind the scenes. I go back and forth depending on the day because we've been burned so many times. I read Gabriel Gray's twitter comment and even saw your own. Let's hope.

yup exactly, us too. I feel like its times like that serve as a reality check to us all that life is precious and we cant worry about the little things.

THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL!

but instead of alien keanu reeves coming to f*** humans up and instill paranoia on the earth, it's covid-19!

3 weeks!? We were told 2 if needing self-isolation, I do know there were cases of 24 and 42 days asymptomatic in China, has the USA taken a more strict stance?

and OMG, is that elderly from the ship that's making the news right now? Refused parking by a few countries now, wonder who is gonna take them in and help the passengers onboard, would strain the health system too
