Lounge of Justice - Part 90

The Loft (a young girl is found dead in a penthouse, the same penthouse is used by some friends for their extramarital affairs so they become the main suspects) and The Boy Next Door.(JLo is stalked by the boy living next door to her). I think both will fit the ''trashy thriller'' type you're looking for.

My man. Hopefully i can find em free on a streaming service ;)

The Loft has a great cast for being so trashy. :funny:

Also, I think Side Effects was Soderbergh's totally intentional entry into the "trashy thriller" genre. And if you've never seen Dial M for Murder's trashy 90's remake, A Perfect Murder, it might fall into what you're looking for.

Oh man, thank you Kane. I'd been meaning to watch that and totally forgot about it. Now is the perfect time.

EDIT: And it's included on Prime! Amazon keeps bringing that quality content! :db:

Now that I think of it, the 90's were a goldmine of trashy thrillers.

I need to go find where I can watch The Net. I'm sure all the internet stuff in that is hilarious now.
I saw it when it came out but I can’t remember the tech side of it. For your sake I hope dial-up was involved somewhere. :cwink:

I don't remember, but it must. Can't be a 1995 internet thriller without dial-up making an appearance somewhere!

I have such a soft spot for those 90s trashy thrillers its not even funny. Even the bad ones i love like Body of Evidence, Sliver and Wild Things.

Trying to find more “gems” like those. :funny:

I'm that way about the 90's, too, just more in the action genre. Pretty much ANY 90's Roland Emmerich and Michael Bay movies, and stuff like Air Force One and Speed, those are my jam. When I was a kid, I used to watch U.S. Marshals all the time. NOT The Fugitive. U.S. Marshals. I can't explain it, but The Fugitive was just too classy for my tastes, I guess, lol.

Right there with you @flickchick85 . When I think of the 1990s in film i think of cheesy action films, epic crime films and trashy suspense/erotic thrillers.

Anyone have any trashy thrillers they'd recommend watching? Doesn't have to be good just "guilty pleasure" good. Something Basic Instinct-y lol

Look no further than vintage Brian De Palma. You can have a full marathon of his flicks that deal with that type of trashy/sexy plots.

Body Double
Dressed To Kill
Sisters

Also, if watching Polanski films don't bother you...the best trashy sexy one he made was a flick called 'Bitter Moon'. It starts his wife and one of the best milk scenes of all time. lawd. His wife back in her prime was like a real life She-Devil. Sex on legs.

I think I should give that movie a rewatch just for Sandra Bullock, cause I like her movies.
