Random thought of the day: I was watching Bloodsport (which is such a f***ing fun movie) and it got me sad that Canon Films never made their Spider-man movie.

Before you ban me from the Hype, hear me out. I feel like it would have been fascinatingly bad film to watch in retrospect. One that we’d be talking about and revisiting today. It probably would have been low low budget, had laughable web swinging/crawling sequences, a cool synth score and probably had Michael Dudikoff playing Peter Parker/Spidey. It wouldve been a schlocky, campy classic comic catastrophe to watch.

I absolutely adore Bloodsport, and Fight To Survive by Stan Bush us freaking awesome.

There’s a part of me that would have loved to have seen their take. Joe Zito who directed Friday the 13th The Final Chapter was set to direct it. I did hear though they were planning on changing it up a lot.

I'm sure anyone associated with Cannon was meant to be part of that Spider-Man.

They probably thought about casting Charles Bronson as Peter Parker at one point.

bloodsport is a van damme classic.
it's like live action street fighter before street fighter was a thing.

it also makes me wish we got to see bruce lee fight bolo in enter the dragon.
van damme vs bolo is the closest we will ever come to that.

bolo was a beast!

and did u know he escaped mainland china by swimming from there over to hong kong?
i imagine he probably clobbered some guards before jumping into the waters lol
