I believe that story would be best used as a part of War World, I’d use Lobo in the same story. Have it be a mixture of the Main Man episodes of STAS with a Mongul & War World replacing the Collector & The Zoo. Lobo plays his part in taking Superman captive for Mongul & I’d somehow have Lois be a stowaway and she gets loose in WW too. As part of it in order for Mongul to control Superman he’d put the Black Mercy on him & the story would play out it’d final act with Lois reluctantly teaming with Lobo to free Superman and the FTMWHE playing out in tandem. Before Superman is finally freed, beats Mongul to a pulp, frees War World etc.

I was being sarcastic. However, I quite like your outline. Of course, if I want to make a DCEU Superman film I would rather do it based off Alan Moore's story rather strictly follow it. As you mentioned, including Lobo & Mongul, but also potential for casting Kara Zor-El and the return of Russell Crowe's Jor-El, Ayelet Zurer's Lara, Shannon's Zod and Antje Traue's Faora-Ul.

Oh yeah the dream world for me would be totally different. I think tbh of Clark had those visions he wouldn’t be from Krypton he’d be from Earth.

Man watching Green Lantern, some of this is laughably bad. You can tell it was the result of 10 different screenwriters fighting each other:

Hal: Guardians! I need your help! Please help me save my planet. Humans are worth saving!

Guardians: Um, how about ‘no.’

Hal: Okay! Well actually I’m just gonna do it. Am I allowed to?

Guardians: Uh...sure? Knock yourself out?

Hal: Okay! Great! Thank you for your time!

Guardians: so...why did you come here again? And who are you?

300M for this? The precursor to Cavill’s Chin

Yeah that scene was so bad, I think that one was a consequence of rewrites. Green Lantern needed a. Director with a vision to come on and write a new script. It’s like Hector Hammond originally he was the main villain but they kept whittling his part down in the script to the point where it was like why is he even here?

The original Berlanti script was much better.

But in saying that my kids love the movie (well more my eldest) so I will appreciate it always on that level. Anything that’s a gateway for them into these characters is a good thing.

Have any of you watched counterpart with JK Simmons? 4 episodes in and I’m thoroughly enjoying it!
It's been on my to-watch list for a while. Number one on that list is Netflix's Dark which I will hopefully start to bingewatch once season 3 premieres.

I checked every page of this thread after last notification, I thought activity was sadly simmered down here even though I've checked every page of this watched thread.

How many of you face this issue with threads they watch?

Quite a bit actually. It doesn't bother me too much, but there's definitely an issue here.

Looks like the devil won this round, folks.

But seriously, as much as I admire his commitment, I don't know why anyone thought July was still a serious option for the U.S.

I think we all knew there would be a second wave, which we’re seeing now. I think it’s better to delay Nolan’s work so that the largest audience possible can see it, safely. This was a good decision.

These delays are comical. What in the world do they think 2 weeks is going to do for a global pandemic that has no vaccine?

WW84's push made some sense at least. I think this is all to placate Nolan. NY is a huge market and isn't opening soon, so WB have to keep pushing the date inch by inch, I guess. Nolan is being a dolt right now.

This is still the first wave. In any case, I don't think there will be any big theatrical releases this year.

If safety and getting it to the widest audience possible was their concern theyd release it digitally in July and do a theatrical release next year. But movie studios still have their heads up their asses and stubbornly would rather release nothing this year or do a theatrical release during a ****ing pandemic. And theater chains arent helping matters by strong arming studios with their boycott threats.

Despite Claim of a PVOD Record, Trolls: World Tour Unlikely to Signal a Shift in Theatrical Release Strategy - Boxoffice

It probably wouldn't be profitable for them to release a blockbuster on VOD. WB also doesn't have a VOD platform on which to release the film worldwide. Releasing it only in the US means that the rest of the world would turn to piracy. But if Nolan is so intent on releasing the film this year then a VOD release might actually be more successful than putting it out in theaters while many are still closed and people are hesitant to go see movies. Ultimately,, he should just take the L and allow WB to delay the movie to next summer. Nolan must be delusional to a certain extent because he has so much money (20% of the gross) tied up with this movie doing well and he still wants to release it now when the movie would make way less money that it would normally. But he probably thinks that it will do gangbusters, somehow. I've been pretty surprised that he seems to be so out of touch because he always seemed to be pretty down to earth.

I can't wait to watch Tenet on my ipad in the backyard, the truest way to experience the film
