Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Well, it's working.

it's the death spasm of an old, backwards culture. and it will get ugly before it gets better.
but lot of these people will be on the losing side of history.

“the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”

So unless I'm reading it wrong. TSS could actually be a period piece? One of the producers mentioned it being a 1970's war movie..

I have to say, as a non-American what's happening in the US right now seems absolutely insane. The shooting of Jacob Blake is just the most recent example. And now, on top of that, this Trump supporter twerp (confirmed he was in the front row at a Trump rally earlier this year) killed two more people. I really hope that at least Trump's reign ends because otherwise I also see bad outcomes for my country and for Europe in general (if Trump gets 4 more years then Putin can pretty much do whatever he wants).
Speaking in the same manner as an outsider, I don't like Trump, but I also don't like Biden either so I'm really fearful for America's current trajectory regardless of who wins.

That being said, systematic racism needs to die.

i think if u vote for biden, ur essentially voting for kamala as president since biden probably got severe dementia at this point.

he'll probably step down not too long after, if he wins the presidency. that's my two cents though.

Well, dementia and a lack of certain boundaries. *pulls collar*

I don't know Kamala that well, but if he wins, hopefully she'll keep him in line.

Speaking of Kamala:

sometime in the 90s, i was rolling though san francisco with my family.
we walked by a cafe and saw willie brown sitting inside.
he saw us and smiled at us.
i think this was around the same time he was hooking up with kamala.
probably so, because dood looked really happy. lol

Morality question/What if Scenario for ya'll:

Say you come across a former acquaintance of yours (mainly her instagram page), you haven't seen or spoken to her in about 5 years, she has a kid and that kid looks a lot like you. You scroll through her page and no baby father pics on her feed. She never reached out in any form. Do you take it upon yourself to ask or you just move on?

i would most likely take it upon myself to ask.

especially if that turns out to be my kid. i have a responsibility to the child.

I don't love Biden either, but as an American, this goes beyond politics for me. I'm not the alarmist type, but I'm concerned for the directions this country is going in. I'm concerned for our democracy and what that means within our borders but also a cross the waters.

One black president and they lose their minds. To keep it honest with ya'll, I have no faith in the american public and political system to make the right choice, Trump will win again, unfortunately.

Man I know this is the lounge, but I really don’t want this to turn into a political thing here. This place is sort of my escape from all the craziness of the world. May have to stay away for a while.

Can you imagine if the VR technology from "Ready Player One" was actually available for the public to utilize?

It would probably be the safest way for people to still socialize. Plus the owners would become millionaires, if not billionaires, within the year.

I’ll be the first to say that I loathe talking politics in general, just because I don’t feel educated enough on most issues. But there comes a point where silence and complacency is just as worse as acts of injustice taking place in our very own streets.

I can’t even imagine how non-American hype members look at our country sometimes. Between our President’s handling of Covid as well as racial unrest, we are on a collision course with the wrong side of history. It’s important to speak up even if you don’t feel qualified to do so. Because at some point it becomes about addressing things that feel wrong and not just about “waiting to get all the facts.” We shouldn’t have to wait for the facts when our own law enforcement is putting people down like dogs just for the color of their skin. I hope we have finally reached a turning point.
