Dang, that's crazy. Hope they have a speedy recovery

Eh, it kinda makes me feel some kind of way talking about replacing Boseman so soon for BP, but I understand it. Hell, JDW would actually be a fine replacement imo, he'd honor him well. I also don't understand how Trevante Rhodes ain't snatching any more lead roles.

Salma Hayek is 54 years old today:

Cotdamn Boyega went off on the Mouse today. His agent must be sweating bullets right now.

Finn was so, so much wasted potential. It still makes me angry that he was so underutilized and reduced to a Rey-shrieking machine.

What did he say?

From CBM.com

"Everybody needs to leave my boy alone," the actor said. "He wasn’t even supposed to come back and try to save your ****. You get yourself involved in projects and you’re not necessarily going to like everything. [But] what I would say to Disney is do not bring out a Black character, market them to be much more important in the franchise than they are and then have them pushed to the side. It’s not good. I’ll say it straight up."

"Like, you guys knew what to do with Daisy Ridley, you knew what to do with Adam Driver," Boyega continued. "You knew what to do with these other people, but when it came to Kelly Marie Tran, when it came to John Boyega, you know f**k all. So what do you want me to say?"

"What they want you to say is, ‘I enjoyed being a part of it. It was a great experience.' I’ll take that deal when it’s a great experience," he openly admitted. "They gave all the nuance to Adam Driver, all the nuance to Daisy Ridley. Let’s be honest. Daisy knows this. Adam knows this. Everybody knows. I’m not exposing anything."

He spoke the truth. Daisy also kinda alluded to SW hurting more her career than helping her in the long run. lol

Honestly, I only recall a handful of actors that were successful in Hollywood immediately after finishing Star Wars.

Natalie Portman has also stated that she had a hard time finding work, since a lot of people mistakenly believed that she was terrible at acting due to the prequels.

Its honestly kind of sad when you see how the SW IP has fallen from grace the way it has. Thank goodness for Mandalorian.

Imho, "The Mandalorian" is a good example of what SW can be like when real fans are in charge of the production.

I think Daisy is an ok actress. Very likable. But I'm not surprised she ain't booking gigs, she has tough competition in her age group. Florence Pugh for one. The list goes on.

Empire Magazine released even more photos for Denis Villeneuve's Dune.

Man, the sheer scale of this film is already giving me chills.

The hype must flow!

And now Tom Seaver, The Franchise. As Mets fan, that's another loss. Rough week for grieving.

I don't see how this thing won't flop if they keep the December release date. A movie like this was never guaranteed to make money but right now there's no chance. They'd have to push this back to December 2021 imo.

So the 'Arrowverse' name wasn't actually official? Huh.

Eh Daisy and Adam Driver played the lead characters, it's no surprise they would be more prioritized. Rey was the protagonist, Kylo was the antagonist, naturally they would get the most focus, while Finn, Poe, Rose and co were the supporting players. No different than how Padme was a supporting player to Anakin or Han and Leia were supporting players to Luke.

That being said I get what he means about the false advertisement thing. The early posters and trailers for TFA always showed Finn holding the lightsaber, clearly wanting you to believe that he was going to be the jedi in the movie when of course he wasn't. That was lame and Disney deserves to be called out on it.

Moving Dune whole year would be too much, not when the marketing started. But it has to move and I hope it makes money. It looks so fresh, it's one of the very few blockbusters that's not damn CBM and it has a lot of people who are kinda a draw - apparently Zendaya and Timmy are super popular among teenagers and you know my ass is gonna be there for Jason and Oscar

Glad someone else said it. It's not the first time side characters have been just that. Especially in star wars. Not on Disney side here obviously but I don't think the main reason Finn didn't have a stormtrooper rebellion arc is because he is black.
It's because Disney didn't even try with the new trilogy. They just wanted to tick all the boxes that the world "requires" today. Equality in the cast etc. And didn't think about the story.

I honestly didn't mind how they teased Finn welding a lightsaber because it led to a cool twist that was unexpected at the time. What they did after that with Finns character was what was embarrassing. (The last Jedi and TROS)

From Boyega putting juvenile videos up that lead to some people getting harassed to this....lol. Let's see what it takes for a man in Hollywood not to have a career because it takes very little for a woman.

I think JDW is interested in playing GL Nolan also approves !
