Lounge of Justice - Part 90

I would imagine that some big companies will buy these chains for pennies down the line but the situation may be pretty apocalyptic in 2021. Right now the bast case scenario is that mass vaccination starts around next summer. So theaters could be relatively safe this time next year. But most chains could very well be bankrupt by that point.
Yeah, I guess new owners will come along who haven’t had to absorb any losses, and can use the infrastructure when things are ok again. Just not sure how long that might take.

Could you imagine if someone like Amazon buys up these big chains? Pretty sure movie studios would have a harder time pushing them around then.

Well they certainly have the cash. Maybe they’d put more focus into their own films and getting them onto screens in that case. Extra revenue and control could be a plus for them, as well as the fact these assets would likely be available at a bargain price.

Noah

Only Aronofsky can make me sit through all of it, every damn time. I can overlook fat Crowe and all them whitewash savior characters. This is a goddamn mess, rock monsters and all, but I still like it, even if Ema Watson's bad acting is like nails on chalkboard. Even still.

Man, that movie had some potential to be something really good.

The costumes, scenery, visuals, the Creation sequence, the awesome soundtrack, all of that was good. But the story really needed some trimming down. Sometimes simple is better.

Fallen angels? Sure, but maybe stick to scripture a bit more. They fell because they were pretty awful. That way the survivors looking for "redemption" actually means something.

A descendant of Cain as the bad guy? Cool, but why is the flood itself not the climax? Why the drawn out revenge plot?

And yes, the film could have used a less whitewashed cast. I mean, sure, Russell Crowe is cool, but frankly I expected Aronofsky of all directors to be the man ballsy enough to buck the trend. To cast a man of color as the lead in a big-budget, Hollywood Biblical film.

The movie has its merits, but you're right in that overall, it's a hot mess.

Mr Xi will sweep in and buy them off cheap, like he tried in Europe earlier this year :funny: Next year we’ll all be watching propaganda films

Temporary. But the situation for cinemas is pretty bad. WW84 and Dune will definitely move which means no big movies until April and even that is not set in stone. AMC can supposedly survive for only 6 more months.

If those Hollywood studios are looking at April then hopefully that’s when most of you have received the vaccine before that time, which isn’t too far away considering we are in Oct already.

like that’s the positive I can spin out of this :oldrazz:

Jennifer Connelly and Logan Lerman are Jewish. They were somewhat self-aware but not as much as they should've been. Goldblum could've been a hell of a choice tho.

Since the story of Noah's ark is complete fiction, it doesn't matter. :D
I disagree. But to each his own. Let's just put it this way. What if the Bible is right. Can you truly see yourself spending an eternity in hell knowing that what is described about it is probably a million times worse. And please don't take this as me saying you're going there. I'm just asking nonbelievers are you truly at peace or alright with the consequences if you're wrong.

I'm guessing WB will bump The Conjuring and give WW84 its old June slot back.

I'm not worried at all because I'm right. :D :oldrazz:

I know this is going to sound smug as hell and I don't want to turn this into a religion v none religion thing, but I feel free that I have no religion chains on my mind, no safety net as they say. I feel at peace not fully knowing what happens after we die, just dust man. I'm completely fine with it. To quote my breh Keanu:

i feel religion can be both a good or bad thing. all depends on the individual and how it serves them and how they utilize it.

but this my opinion:
we humans largely have not yet figured out living our present lives properly on earth.
focus on that first.

once we get that done, then we can start talking about an afterlife.

and i think that's the point of keanu's response too.

The Last of Us II

Finally finished it. Eh, I respect the decision and balls that it took for them to go through with it. I don't necessarily agree with it, but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. I also feel like this is a superior gameplay experience overall. I probably got myself on John Wick's hit list, I shot them dogs with ease fam, didn't even flinch. Ronda Rousey looking chick didn't bother me either.

I also admit to not being a huge gamer and losing interest very fast, never finished RDR2 despite loving it and Ghost of Tsushima is epic but never past act 2, it takes me awhile to get back into the groove. I do feel the outrage and hate was unwarranted, but like I said, I ain't passionate about video games in general. Will most likely get a PS5 but I can easily wait another year or more.
