Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Ideal Lex Luthor (strictly going by looks), for people who hate Eisenberg's Lex, is in Matt Reeves movie (behind Colin Farrell's Penguin).:oldrazz:

I find going to a cinema to be a better way to experience a film, I'll go to see re-releases of old films sometimes.

Eh, for me it's not really about that. It's about the immersion of it all. The massive screen, the sound. It's the one time in my life where I'm never tempted to look at my phone or get up to move around. I'm just completely in it. I can't replicate that kinda sensation at home.

Yes that's the romanticized version of it. lol But I'm talking about how you get both that experience and see something for the first time that you won't get to see anywhere else just yet. When you're given different options on release day, even if you choose to stick to what you described, it makes the whole thing feel less special. For many people moviegoing is also a rather expensive form of entertainment, so they could very likely choose not to have that experience if they were given other options.

I don't know why but I get the worst anxiety at the movies.
I'm much more comfortable watching something at home. I've got a damn good TV and I like being able to pause if I need to go to the toilet or anything.

But I completely get why people love the theater experience. Me and my nephew went and saw return of the Jedi a couple of weeks back. (We're in Australia and the restrictions are minimal)other than the lovely random ass anxiety attacks throughout it was like watching the film for the first time again. The sound design and score was so clear I was hearing all sorts of new stuff. And nothing beats projection when it comes to visuals. Tvs look like crap in comparison because of the backlight and dynamic dimming. The colors and shadows were rather different

Not for me post crisis Lex is supposed to be like Bruce Wayne only evil meaning charming and handsome but evil and cocky.

I feel like major movie chains will close and we’ll have the return of the local theater with 1-3 screens in the coming years. I just want to see blockbuster movies on a big screen.

Yeah, they've got it wrong, Studios should still wait for at least 3 weeks before releasing it on streaming.

Same day release (theater & streaming) is not going to work because of piracy, why would you pay for a movie if you can watch it for free is what many people around the world would think.

I am not too sure about that. Look at how spotify and the like have changed music related piracy. Torrents are still available, but spotify and other services have made it very cheap and convenient to get music.

Well the thing is hiking up the prices for tickets doesn't help them. However I think if studios do switch more to streaming it will be because they figured out how to make their blockbuster movies on a smaller budget.

Reposting my post from other thread
Tenet has made $322 mil (worldwide), though the Studio gets only 33% for overseas movies, the theatrical+VoD model could prove useful as opposed to "streaming only" model, Mulan made just $33 mil. on VoD (figures from last month), even if we double that, it will still not be enough for big budget movies with a budget in range of $200 million.

The big budget movies will also need to decrease their budgets to be commercially viable, the revenue model will not rely on any one segment but it will be a mix of Theatrical + VoD + Bluray and DVD sales + TV broadcast rights to other networks (like CBS, NBC, ABC) + Merchandise.

Currently working on a reboot version of Brokeback Mountain involving around two Superman fans.I took away the sexual exploration, and this is more about their love and bond over the film failures of Superman on the screen.

@BlackSuitTrael and @herolee10 are my leads. Bald @souperman and @Superchan play the wife characters.

BlacksuitTrael: Cavill will be back and we'll get a trilogy and plenty of spinoffs!

Herolee: Tell you what, Superman coulda had a good life on screen! A real good life! Had his trilogy of his own. But they didn't want it, Trael! So what we got now is A polarizing reboot and a cinematic universe built on that! That's all we got, boy, effin' all. So I hope you know that, even if you don't never know the rest! You count the damn few times we have seen Superman smile on screen in nearly twenty years and you measure the short leash they keep him on while rebooting, continuing and drown us with Batman stuff left and right - and then you ask me about Cavill coming back to be a punching bag on Black Adam and tell me you'll kill me for needing somethin' I don't hardly never get. You have no idea how bad it gets! I'm not you... I can't make it on a couple glorified cameos or mentions once or twice a year! This is too much for me. I wish I knew how to be numb to Superman. I wish I knew how to quit you and him.

this looks like a b-movie knockoff of predator but with martial arts. and nic cage.
stupid fun. and i am all for it.

Looks to me like the alien is wearing mucus armor from [PROTOTYPE], and this will be garbage.

Garbage I hope to love, and see it earn more than $700 million at the box office.
