Lounge of Justice - Part 90

It occurs to me Jenkins and Johns' Amazon pitch could be another of those smaller projects that could be a good fit for HBO Max going forward.

Still waiting for that trailer which seems like it will never come.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

Celebrated its 10 year anniversary a few days ago. Most definitely a classic. I can only hope Kanye walks out of that sunken place one day.

That line about sleepy hollow is an all time classic to me. Brehs know.

@Black Narcissus

Added The Wailing to my Prime watchlist. It had better be good.

Maybe I should call Mase so that he could pray for us
I hit the Jamaican spot, at the bar, take a seat
I ordered the jerk, she said, "You are what you eat"
You see I always loved your sense of humor
But tonight you should have seen how quiet the room was
The Lyor Cohen or Dior Homme that's Dior Homme not Dior homie
The crib Scarface couldn't be more Tony
You love me for me could you be more phony

I wonder if this has anything to do with the Fisher allegations.

It must have. I'm sorry but I don't believe for a second that Whedon is leaving his own baby voluntarily. If it was just him being exhausted he could have gotten a co-showrunner to help him. Leaving the show entirely is not his decision.

Wow, didn’t realise how much value a single film can have for Netflix.

Aren't they heavily indebted? How the hell can an entity fork out $200M when they're deep in the red zone?

Companies with realistic growth prospects can easily borrow money and attract investors. Think of Amazon when it was starting out. Most companies get into debt in the growth phase to fund their potential and investors are happy to carry the risk in return for much greater rewards down the line that aren’t available from investing in mature, stable companies.

I just didn’t realise a film like this (not top tier like Avengers or Star Wars) was worth so much and it makes me think how much an entire portfolio for a given streaming platform is worth.

Nice explanation @Iceman. Ive been wondering how Netflix has the capital to spend for these giant films theyve been acquiring lately.

I know people are upset by this news and wanna watch this in theaters but if this is what it takes to actually see the movie at all then I say drop it on streaming. Preferably on HBO Max. That’d be a huge booster for them.

I don't like the taste of turkey, so I'm pleased this is not a tradition we celebrate in my household.

Enjoy your holiday.

So the latest episode of Mandalorian has me contemplating watching the Clone Wars series. All 7 seasons are on Disney + but...woof thats a lot to get through. Is it worth the investment?

Can someone tell me when Mandalorian S2 is over so I can binge it?

Much obliged. :chp:

Three episodes left, so in three weeks.

Same. My idiot brother and his goofass wife were pushing for a gathering, but my parents thankfully killed the idea with fire.
Looking forward to that kind of family dynamic in my near future... :o
