I never liked the PotA movies, skipped Burtons and the last one and will likely skip the new one.

Do you know the acronym for Planet of the Apes sounds and is almost written like the Spanish word for w****?

I remember watching the first one when I was younger and I liked it. I prefer the new ones, honeslty, mostly for the set up and how it's unfolding.

I never liked any of them either. At all. But the recent ones are really pretty good so far.

I saw Rise again today, and tomorrow I'll be seeing Dawn. I really liked Rise; it was great. I'll check out the original film after I see Dawn.

The original Rod Serling penned Apes film is just utterly amazing. Truly, the cream of the crop for me. Granted, all the other ones in that series are mediocre to terrible. Rise was a pleasant surprise though and I look forward to catching Dawn sometime this week.

Day of the Planet of the Apes, obviously.

Fall of the Planet of the Apes

Day of the Apes.

The Part 4 will be 'Planet of the Apes'

Then Part 5 will be Mother****ing Walhberg of the Apes :cmad: and it ties into the Burton REMAKE OH GOD YES

Of course having never seen a Apes movie, and having spoiled myself at reading and watching the end of the Burton remake...with with teh Alternate timelines, I don't see how it could be tied in.

:o no spoiler, came out in 2001 guys.

When I watch the original film, should I watch the other following?

JKR said that after the movie came out she pictured Rickman when she wrote Snape as well.

Thats the ultimate praise right there. When you do such a good job that you completely replace the author's visualization of the character she created in her own damn mind.

Just like how Sean Connery changed Ian Fleming's mind.

You know what always kind of pissed me off? And I know the story would have been totally different, and blah blah blah, but...

The fact that Lilly picked James(who was kind of a bully and a jerk) over Severus.

Severus made that happen all on his own.

By getting chosen into Slytherin?

He only called her Mudblood after being pushed WAY too far by James and he obviously regretted it for the rest of his life.

Sevvy doomed himself romantically.

Still, he's my favorite character in the series. If I had rank to my top ones, it'd be:

1. Snape (text and film)/tied with Hermione (text/film)
2. Lupin (text and film)
3. Sirius (text and film)
4. Bellatrix (film)
5. Madeye Moody

No take-backs on being an *******. Once you break that trust, there's no way to repair it. I agree James was a jerk, but we really only saw him from Snape's perspective. Hard call on that one.

I've never read a HP book or seen a HP movie. Am I missing out? I feel like I know everything about the story from cultural osmosis anyway.
