Sounds odd. I might add it to my Netflix list. It's already pretty long....
Well there's not a lot of Black Mirror eps. I think there's only like 13 in total, because the 1st two BBC seasons only had 3 episodes each. It's just better to think of them as their own movies (as they can be quite a bit longer than the typical TV ep) rather than episodes to binge. It can be quite depressing, it's true, but it can also be quite brilliant. Each episode is it's own story, set in it's own universe with its own characters. None of them repeat, so you don't have to watch it in any specific order.

The best ones are "Be Right Back," "White Bear," "White Christmas," "Nosedive" and "San Junipero," imo.

Man...I thought for sure AHS ousted the format as being a seasonal thing
and thus you have other horror shows as well as stuff like Fargo, True Detective, and ACS.

Just now found this comedic vers of The Outer Limits/Twilight Zone

Looks okay, but I don't have Hulu. :(

Room 104 is a bit like Outer Limits/Twilight Zone.

This is how The Last of Us started.

it just goes to show you.... taking a bath every once in a while is worth it.

That Marvel Heroes Omega game is getting shut down. I'm not saying you're going to find the developers drowned in a vat of Cheerwine, but I'm also not not saying that.

CC will blame us.

I had that game installed, I played it for like 15 minutes. I'm blameless. I didn't spend any actual money in the game, but it's still not my fault.

she begged all of us to play... i guess she was the only one playing... she was playing with

stop it reek... bad... bad reek! no! I SAID NO!

The game was like Marvel Ultimate Alliance mixed with Diablo, but where you would have to pay to play as the good characters. But at least it was free to start out with. Some games miss that detail.

i want to try rocketleague but i fear im too late for that

Rocket League is one of the greatest gifts ever given to the human race. There will always be people playing that.

Be Right Back is just... It's some of the best work Atwell has ever done and is a heartbreaking look into the nature of loss. It's so far my favorite episode. It's a bummer still in its way but it's a "humane" bummer. White Bear is a harrowing 38 minutes but despite the heavy subject matter and how well it was done... I kinda had to pick apart the reveal a bit after I saw it just because I think it's a ridiculously expensive undertaking. But... nitpicking such things seems silly really given the type of show it is. And it's obviously a story where thinking about logistics isn't really the point.

I will say... I may need to dole these episodes out over a couple weeks. It's a lot of dark, horror tinged futurism to take in one big sitting.

Yeah, "Be Right Back" is both haunting and heartbreaking at the same time. It remains my fave. As for "White Bear," it's been a while since I watched that one too, but if memory serves, I thought this was all paid for via revenue from the park. But I could be wrong. And yeah, it's not really about the logistics anyway. The thing that gets me about that one is that it completely pulls the rug out from under you regarding the protagonist/person we've been sympathizing with this whole time. It's such a gut punch. There's another episode that does this later (won't say which one), that I WOULD have on my list of favorites if "White Bear" didn't do it first.

My faves from S3, "Nosedive" and "San Junipero" are actually probably the least-depressing ones of the series. They're almost uplifting...by Black Mirror standards, lol.

I'm looking forward to it all. The "mission statement" if you will of the series seems to be no dumbing down and no easy answers. It's like a good Sci Fi anthology book. Lots of content variety and a lot of honesty about human nature. I just saw the Waldo episode. Maybe it's the British nature of all the episodes so far but I like that in the tradition of all good classic Sci Fi stories it's grappling with societal and political ramifications of technology and technological advancement. It's in the wheelhouse of THE OUTER LIMITS and TWILIGHT ZONE for sure but it has it's own distinct flavor. I'm a bit regretful it took me this long to get on it. But that's me... Late to the pop culture party as usual. I hopped on GoT five years after everybody else.

Yep, they say the best sci-fi is really about the human condition, and I think Black Mirror is exemplary of that. S3's produced by Netflix and features a lot more American actors, so it's got less of that "British flavor," but it's still Charlie Brooker's show and still brilliant as ever.

And hey, better late than never! The new season's supposed to be out in the next month or so, so you could say you're right on time. ;)

you... you're serious aren't you...

This is how The Last of Us started.

Yup to both of these things. The end is near!

Nope, it's these disease ridden children I babysit on Thur night at my AA meeting. They always grab my hat and wear it. Not doing that again. Got weird bald patches, one streak that looks like I got buzzed by some clippers. Glad I have good insurance, the medication I was prescribed cost a few hundred dollars but I only paid $20.

Well I succeeded in giving my husband my headcold. Ain't love grand? :p :(

For those with NETFLIX.....I recommend the movie Spectral starring James Badge Dale, Max Martini, and Bruce Greenwood.

A sci fi/horror/action movie

American special forces team in an Eastern European country, on an assist the locals mission, encounter a bizarre situation. With the use of special goggles (they're supposed to give the wearer enhanced vision help) soldiers see spectral images of people....people who kill them with a touch. Are they seeing soldiers in special camouflage....ghosts....or something else?

Action, suspense, scary stuff....good movie.

There's some crazy ass people in the JL forums. Something clearly ain't right with a lot of 'em.

I'm not venturing in until after I see the movie. :(

Squeeks you have always been the wise one. Never go into that cesspool.
