Love.

I'm passionate about what i do but have not been in love with anyone:confused:

Is this forum always so filled up with relationship threads? Maybe I just never noticed because I've been looking here for than normal...

Anyway I've had things that I THOUGHT were "love"...which really turned out, in the end to be very unbalanced relationships in which I was more someone who was "looked up to" rather than a relationship where I felt like we were on equal grounds.

In the end, these became very unstable.

Recently I got together with someone and it felt DIFFERENT...waaaaay more intense than what I'd experienced before, and from what I gather - probably the genuine thing, but unfortunately it isn't the right time in either of our lives for this so we're essentially just friends now.

I'm taken by surprise when I think about it. Never thought posters on a comic book/superhero board would ever have a relationship.

:o outside their hand. Ooooooooh

Love is worrying about them, having to keep worrying about them even when they could be fine.

Love is when you think of future scenarios or possible scenarios in which you'd try to play the hero and protect them from harm.

Love is the tears in one's eyes during unexpected - or obvious - moments.

Love is security and comfort and convenience and reliability - all rolled in one.

Love is happiness shared, and given.

Love is monotone and excitement.

Love is maturity about evolution of the dynamics and chemistry that prevail between the two.

Love is space together and space apart, and the time it takes for either one to happen or replenish itself.

Love is easy irritation yet simple listening makes it go away.

Love is quantity adding to quality of years.

Love is questioning it sometimes, but always re-affirming said love or practice of said love.

And it's all thanks to my boyfriend.

I guess love is just one those things. You know? Some people get it. Some don't.

I was in love and it was serious, got engaged gettin ready to move in together have kids the works.
Then one day everything changed she was fed up, wanted me to stop seein my mates and all that crap.
We split i found out she'd bin cheating on me for 2 years and couldn't decide who she wanted (she got neither in the end).
Stupidly i still love her, miss her everyday but things will change, life will go on and so will i.

I think I was in love once, I dont remember her name. She was Brazilian, or Chinese, or something weird. I met her in the bathroom of a K-Mart and we made out for hours. Then we parted ways, never to see each other again.

Actually ive never been in love. I love poetry, a glass of scotch every now and then. And of course I love my dog. (anchorman)

Anyways heres a story ill tell you about. Last night Im at this backyard party. Theres these 2 girls im talkin to. One is alright and the other is nice let me tell you. They were both intoxicated. So was I. The hot chick was on like 7 red bulls and really easy to talk to let me tell you. I was almost about to ask her if she wanted to get out of here. But then the chick that was alright asked me if i wanted to get out of here. I said yeah. So were like walking in this crazy forest and she grabs me and pulls me to the ground. We made out for about 20 minutes. Things started looking like they would lead to something and then BAM she gets a phone call. What a cock block. The same rules that apply at a movie theatre should apply in real life. Cell phones off until after the show.

I've been in love. It's the best and worst feeling in the whole world.

JAL is so going to go off in a grammatically incorrect, profane tirade against you ...you know, when he gets off his latest Alba-induced grammatically incorrect, profane tirade probation. :bomb:

You're all just jealous cause I know her... all of her... all her loves and thoughts... all her moves.. her clothing sizes... her smells...

I love her dammit... LOVE HER.... and I will prove my love even if it means killing someone.. :ghost:

I'm only in love with someone I can't have.:(

that's the normal course of life.. we love the ones we can't have and the ones that love us are the ones we don't love. :(

Yeah but there have only been 2 people I've really been in love with and I couldn't have them for complicated reasonings.

My love is only for my sports teams (Bears, Cubs, Michigan Wolverines football and Memphis Tigers basketball), reading, sleeping, and playing video games.

I take no interest in the affairs of others.

I was in love once. But that's just the thing: I (only me) was in love. The "other" didn't feel that way.

So, I did the basic "I'll die for you!" thing, got shot down, got hurt. I did it to myself but I learned a lot from it.

In the end, she came back for more, but I was already done with that, had been there several times.

It happens.

Love can be the greatest feeling and the worst feeling! when its not recipricated its specially hard. I've been on both ends of that and neither was to good.

Call me crazy, but I truly believe that you only really fall in love once. And hopefully, that person is the one you end up spending the rest of your life with.
No, I totally agree.

Also, I believe it to be a two way thing, too. Like, if the other person does not feel the same, then it is not love.

Having said that, I think love is ridiculous. Nothing more than an emmotional by-product of the human desire to come together like two giant fleshy magnets and pro-create.

All I will say is this. There are times in your life where you will THINK you are in love. But, when true love really finally does find you, you'll realize that what you'd felt before was just a pale imitation when compared to the real thing. It's worth the wait, though. I promise.

what's to stop this iteration from happening once again?

surely it just makes the experience relative rather than something concrete.

I really feel for anyone who says they never love. It's the greatest feeling in the world.

I was with a chick for four years and really thought I was in love. I'm with a different chick now and it's not the same in a good way. The one I'm with now I can honestly say I would do anything for, even die. The first chick I don't think I can say that. So, the question is: Would you die for her or him? This isn't a Bryan Adams song, I mean for real, would you?
man, i wouldn't die for anyone, really...

:o

i don't buy that definition.
