Lucifer Season 2 promo: Who Escaped Hell?

FOX has released a new promo for Lucifer season 2, which teases the resolution to the season 1 finale bombshell that Lucifer’s mother had escaped from Hell, leading to Lucifer being tasked by God with recapturing her.

Chris Payne Gilbert (10 Items or Less) has been cast to play Chloe’s late father John Decker, who was also a Police Officer, in season 2 of Lucifer.
The character’s description is as followed:

A beat cop on the LAPD. A good man, and even better father, John was killed in the line of duty, sending Chloe (Lauren German) on her path to becoming a detective; she was a 19-year-old starlet just beginning a movie career when he died. Ten years later, when the details of this fateful evening come into question, Chloe will try to give her father the justice he always fought for.

Honestly, last episode was just a police procedural with a thirty second twist. There's a lot of competition when it comes to shows like that. I feel like Lucifer needs to step up its game now.
