I discover new awesome music through this show like every other episode.

The only consolation is that we do have 22 episodes every season. It's just a matter of when they air.

Haven't had a chance to watch this yet. I'm a huge fan of Carey's series. I think it's as good as Gaiman's Sandman.

From what I've read, the *comics* Lucifer isn't in this show, whatsoever.

But as someone who never read comic Lucifer, the show on its own is good, with great characters and a great cast. The ones in this thread who have read Lucifer in the comics seem to generally agree.

Only very broad concepts are taken from the comics. It's a very loose adaptation.

Never read the comic books yet. Where does the show diverge from the comic books? Like what is in one and not the other. How is Lucifer in the comic books different than the one on TV?

it's extremely different, but some parts seem similar

the show is police procedural, and the comics definitely are far more supernatural. amenadiel is more foe in comics than on this show and they definitely look different. it feels like they are giving him more of Michael's parts too.
Maze is awesome in both

at first i thought Chloe was going to be like Elaine Belloc, but now i'm not so sure. Part of me feels like Trixie could still be her and maybe Chloe is more like Jill but i honestly have no idea.

Lucifer dresses sharp in both, but in the comics he is blonde

Really glad to see it renewed...i love the show.
My hope is that they go more into the supernatural with the show.
Demons commiting crimes etc...would be nice.

But either way im really excited.

Gotham could take some more time. I imagine the licensing fee for that show is significantly higher so FOX and Warner will likely want to ¤|tch it out about that.

Lucifer is in both. Amenadiel is in both. Maze is in both.

Only they are different people and the rest of the universe is nothing alike. Chloe the everyman detective tying the show into a police procedural format is obviously exclusive to the television show.

Production for Lucifer is heading back to Los Angeles for season 3. They got some tax incentives.

Seems like they were doing a fair amount of location shooting in LA anyway. And getting the tax incentive was the clincher. Also - Vancouver has been uncharacteristically cold and snowy this year.

Lucifer - Season 2 - FOX Only Airing 18 Episodes

Although Lucifer got full 22 episode order for season 2 , FOX will only be airing 18 of those as part of the current season. Episode 18 is set as the season finale, according to TheFutonCritic, airing May 29th. The following week, FOX will be airing a two-hour season finale of Gotham. The slot will be taken over So You Think You Can Dance and Superhuman starting June 12th. The remaining episodes, which has already been written (220, 221) will likely air as part of season 3.

According to Deadline.com, Lucifer’s season 3 order still stands at 22 (new) episodes. So while this year gets shortened to 18, next year is expanded to 26. Allegedly.
