he is exactly 6'5 but again he can't act :csad:

^ That's not even Terry Crews, 'toine.

That's Tommy "Tiny" Lister.

I don't say Terry is better because I think he's an Oscar winner or anything, but because Tyrese is one of the worst actors in Hollywood. The guy is absolute trash. He's a good singer, but IMHO, Tyrese can not act.

To me, Crews' performance in any given episode of Everybody Hates Chris has demonstrated more acting ability than Tyrese ever has in his entire filmography.

Ok first I know who is Tommy "Tiny" Lister I never said that was terry crew:huh:. And secondly name me 1 movie where terry played well.

When you put that pic under the post preceding it, I thought you were saying that is Crews.

I will agree with you on Lister. I don't want "Deebo" as Cage either.

But I damn sure don't want Tyrese anywhere near Cage.

I remember you picked henry simmons. could be the best choice right now. I don't know him too much but I remember seeing him play in NYPD. He doesn't look tough compare to Crew but he can act.

Tiny Lister? LOL hell no. Cage ain't 75. Plus there's no reason to choose the ugliest mofo out there...

Crews has a serious role in the movie Game (in post-production)... Not sure how big of a role it will be, but apparently he has the chops to get into a major Sci-Fi thriller... with Gerard Butler and Kyra Sedgwick. He also play a central character in Street Kings.

Overall the notion that Gibson blows Crews away is a little off. However, with a film like this... if a Hellboy'ish comedic twist is to be added, then an ensemble might be better (at least a costar)... ala Iron Fist in a Heros For Hire film (this was mentioned on another thread).

I agree. hell no to both those guys! I won't be putting up my hard earned money for that flick if those guys get the role. again Terry Crews FTW!

And that's a bad thing? There was tons of humor in Hellboy and Iron Man and both were very good movies.

Actually the ton of the first Hellboy might be a good guide for how to make this movie if they ever do it.

Heck no. Cage should be serious like Blade.

And dispite what people say about Tyrese. I believe he has potential to be a good actor. It's just that he plays himself off as a token black guy sometimes. I wish he wouldn't do that. He was good in Baby Boy and Four Brothers.

Are you for real? Have you seen John Singleton's movies? Diffenetly not corny.

Singleton has been on the decline in a big way post-Rosewood. Baby Boy? 2 Fast 2 Furious? Definitely cornball garbage. Shaft and Four Brothers had their moments, but they were not cohesive, good films IMHO.

Singleton makes terrible movies...Boys N the Hood being the exception. Hopefully someone else will direct the Luke Cage movie.

I kind of like Cage more when he has a humorous side. With a supporting cast of Danny Rand, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, and Jessica Jones I think they can really have something going there.

I agree that cage should be serious. I don't want any funny stuff.

All movies have a little comedy in them but yeah I don't want to see a campy Cage flick.

Blade was humorous at some points in the films because of the way he acted. Like the scene in Blade 1 when that cop said the basement entrance was behind the frige, then Blade gave him a funny look. The over all tone of Blade 1 & 2 was serious. That's how a Luke Cage movie should be.

There's a difference between witty and straight comedy.

And also. It'll probably be best if they do him like Tokey Williams and Frank Lucas. And not like 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg like writers write him in some comics.

Luke Cage is definitely a character that works better with a die hard atmosphere. Thrilling dramatic storyline, adrenaline fueled action scenes, and a very charismatic, funny leading man.

Misty Knight and Colleen Wing and Jessica Jones would add fantastic support, but I really want to see Danny in his own movie, then combine the two for a spinoff/sequel hybrid. I just see too much potential for Iron Fist and the tournament arc as an awesome movie

Personally, I don't think that any of those folks should be used to model Cage. There are many things Cage did (even in his original Seventies incarnation) that he's not proud of(or at least Stan Lee and Chris Claremont aren't), but even in the MAX version, he never dealt crack, pot, or heroin.

Exactly. Cage is no cold blooded killer.

I'm talking about before he got his powers. Yes, Luke Cage did some things he's not proud of, but during his gangsta time he was fine with it.

Also. Tokey Williams had changed his life around during his time in prison.

I totally agree, he play well his role even if it's the same type of roles. But I wont accept Tyrese as cage. The reason is simple he's too small. Hollywood have to respect the character. For all of you who dont know what is 6ft5 than check boxer Lenox Lewis that's how high you should see Cage not some 5,11 actor. Same thing with Thor no Brad pitt please!
