Luke Cage casting call (merged)

I love the sugestion of Terry Crews. The guy has alot of range in my opinion and he's already huge which doesn't hurt.

I rather marvel go with a SMALL budget (30-35mill) and give one of these guys a chance at Luke Cage, THEN go with a MEDIUM budget (40-70mill) and use Tyrese to justify the Budget then the BEST choice!!! (just my 2 cents...)

I agree. Luke Cage is not a movie that has to have a big scale. Marvel can make it quality while still relatively cheap, thus putting it in the position to turn a sizable profit.

Did you see Tyrese in Death Race? His patrayol as a dark character like Machine Gun Joe was excellent and I can see him translate that to Luke Cage. I always wanted Tyrese as Luke and after seeing Death Race I know he will do the role justice.

Originally in my post I was gonna say that I saw Daredevil and Luke Cage in Death Race because Jason Statham said he wanted to play Daredevil.

Ever since Luke has been fighting other gangsters.

If you're gonna make a movie about an exgangster going into the underworld taking down other gangsters, mob bosses, and mafia bosses the tone of the movie and the character himself will have to be dark.

I don't think Luke should be dark like Punisher. I just believe he should be realistic. Not killing people. But be the way he was in the MAX series and not like a urban Superman like how writers always write him.

Tyrese Gibson talks Luke Cage...

Can you talk about your upcoming role as Luke Cage in the Marvel big screen adaptation of that property? Are you looking to jump directly into another franchise here?

I am hoping to be a part of it. I met with Avi Arad a while ago about the project. Right now they are just starting to tweak the script. I will definitely be the first one to put my eyes on it. And we will figure out what happens after that.

How do you hope to see the character of Luke Cage evolve on screen? Do you have any ideas about what you want to bring to the project?

I really can't speak on it too much. It is something that I am really exciting about potentially being a part of.

I prefer Powerman to Cage but I think either way it could be a fantastic movie. Please please let him have a 'fro! Even if he doesn't where the tiara.

It would be great if they could release this and Iron Fist the same summer and end the movies with Cage and Fist meeting. Then they can make a Heroes for Hire sequel the following year or two. That would just blow my fanboy mind.

Tyrese and Terry Crewes both are such horrible horrible actors and I can't stand watching either of them act. They would completely ruin a Cage movie. Henry Simmons or a beefed up Common is where it's at.
