In the New Avengers # 22, he gave an awesome argument. Also, I nearly cried when Falcon, Cap, and DD came to his rescue. They should reform the avengers with Cap, Falcon, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Wolvie. And kick the traitors like Iron Man, Sentry, Ms. Marvel, etc. out. Depending on where Spidey stands at the end he can join the reformed Avengers. Really liked this issue. Made me like Luke Cage and hate Iron Man some more. I didn't think it would happen, but I'm starting to dislike Ms. Marvel too.

I didn't want to make 2 topics, so did Speedball regain his powers in Frontline # 4? Also does anyone know if Hercules has been captured? I didn't see him with the rescue force in Spidey 534. When Cap ended the fight with Spidey, I hope he got back in time to get some heroes out of there. It's really obvious that all of the Young Avengers were captured. And I wouldn't be surprised if Hercules was captured too since he was fighting it out with Thor.

This is how to do it

don't leave any spaces, that's it

This issue made me dislike Luke Cage more than I ever did before.

Yes I think Speedballs powers are coming back.

I think Hercules was captured. Which suprises me, that out of everybody in the resistants he would be captured.

So, for those of us who haven't read it, what did Luke Cage do exactly?

Iron Man and Ms. Marvel ask Luke and Jessica Jones to sign with the registration. Luke gives a whole speech about oppression and how this is like slavery, etc. Iron Man says soldiers or registered superheroes will come to his home and pull him out of there. Luke Cage responds by saying getting pulled out of your home is no different now than back in the slavery days, etc. Luke Cage fights a bunch of Shield guys right at midnight when the act becomes legal. Cap, DD, and Falcon come to the rescue. Luke Cage becomes one of my favorite characters instantly, the end.

yeah, he was pretty badass in this issue.
one of the coolest speeches in the whole CW storyline so far

DAMN IT! i wish ****ing we had a comic store here I've been missing out

Wow I'm surprised he said to Iron Man. Luke Cage is becoming more important now and I hope he gets a chance to do more as everything goes on.

I didn't like how he was telling his baby not to "take no @!*@% from nobody." Now I know that the baby couldn't understand him. But geeez.....

But in spite of that, I gained a lot of resect for Cage. A great story.

I enjoyed the issue tremendously. I think Bendis has a good grasp on Luke Cage's character.

My only beef was the artwork. It wasnt bad, but i had a hard time deciphering what exactly was happening during some of the fight scenes...and when did SHIELD field commander Gabe Jones turn caucasian? Unless im getting senile, he was always an African-American...

Thank you,.. I've not read it yet.

*Comment*
As long as they continue to maintain the integrity of Cage as it's been from day one,.. he will remain one of my favorites because while he is a stereotype in so many ways as a snapshot of how America see's African Americans,.. he is also someone who you can't put into the mold of just "a Big Black man"

I hope more take the time to look at the character as a whole and see what I do.

Peace.

i had the opposite reaction.

this issue made luke and jessica really stand out to me. i think bendis really wrote jessica's pride in her husband very well. and i really, really like the last few panels.

I was never a big Cage fan, but he's made some major points with me after that issue.

I also got a bit welled up when Cap and Co. came to his rescue.

Cage was great in this issue, I too have a newfound respect for him. But if some one can make sense of this.... After Luke is rescued by Cap & Co., they talk to Maria Hill in that tank thing. In the last panel, Cage is smiling and someone off panel says "Good dim sum there"
I don't have a scanner or anything so I can't show it, but WTF?
I'm assuming that its a typo, but I stared at that balloon for ten minutes. If someone can clear this up for me I'd appreciate it.

That was in reply to Cage saying that he sent Jessica and the baby to Toronto.

I never knew that Toronto had good dim sum.

I actually don't even really know what dim sum is besides that it's some sort of Chinese food.

Dim Sum - from Wikipedia

Classical dim sum includes buns such as bau (baozi), dumplings and rice rolls, which contain a range of ingredients, including beef, chicken, pork, prawns and vegetarian options. Many dim sum restaurants also offer plates of steamed green vegetables, roasted meats, congee porridge and other soups. People go yum cha when they are having meals in a Chinese teahouse or a dim sum restaurant, and tea is always served along with dim sum.

Dim sum can be cooked by steaming and frying, among other methods. The serving sizes are usually small and normally served as three or four pieces in one dish. It is customary to order family style, sharing dishes among all members of the dining party. Because of the small portions, people can try a wide variety of food.

Dim sum dishes can be ordered from a menu or sometimes the food is wheeled around on a mobile cart by servers. Traditionally, the cost of the meal is calculated based on the number and size of dishes left on the patron's table. Some modern dim sum restaurants record the dishes on a bill at the table. Not only is this tidier, it also prevents patrons from cheating by concealing or stealing the plates. Servers in some restaurants use different stamps so that sales statistics for each server can be recorded.

This issue had a pretty dark and moody vibe to it.I'm hoping for New Avengers to keep this vibe with Yu on pencils after CW.

This is definitely a highlight Cage moment since Bendis started bringing him back in DD.

This issue was THE BALLS.

Loved this issue and the fact that someone's writing Luke and Jessica properly know. It conveyed the right emotion and unlike some turns of character during CW, this one made sense. Having Cap and the rest show up was ideal as was building Tony's heel status quo.

This was handled nicely.

Great issue and a good additin to CW. I have always liked Cage, I just like him more now.
