I dont care if Luke has a beard or not. I want to see him wear a cloak and ignite a lightsaber. That's all i need t: As far as the lightsaber color, green or blue, whatever. Blue is also my favorite color, but i like that he chose green in ROTJ, to kinda say "hey, i'm my own man now, daddy-o", so i like that. He should continue to be his own man.

That was wonderful. Ya know, back when I saw the original trilogy, I remember thinking he was the weakest actor of the bunch. But now, of the main original trio, he's the one I'm most confident will nail it.

I just watched that video. And suddenly I have found my excitement for this movie. Luke is my hero. I was three when A New Hope came out. To see Mark back in shape and ready to kill it for all of us? I only hope he remains a featured player and doesn't die too soon. Thank you Mr. Hamill for re-dedicating yourself. I am going to be a fool in the theater when Luke returns. Hopefully my daughters can enjoy it as well.

Y'know,for the longest time I felt like it was over.The stuff I liked as a kid was put aside and sure-there was cool stuff still to enjoy like the Super Hero onslaught.But I realize now how much cool stuff from my childhood I was able to relive in the past 10 years or so:

I got to see Rocky run up the stairs to "Gonna fly now"

Indiana Jones don the fedora again

The original Mr Spock helping out Captain Kirk

I even got to hear John Williams triumphant Superman theme on the big screen again


But I don't think it'll be possible for ANYTHING to trump Mark Hamill igniting his lightsaber for the first time in 30 years.THAT'S the Holy Grail of fanboy-dom.It's gonna be bittersweet in that I don't think anything will match my excitement for that one moment ever again.

Yep. People try to defend Hayden-Anakin's whininess as being the same as Luke's, but Luke and Hamill's performance as Luke was just so much more sympathetic and like-able. Jedi Luke in ROTJ was just badass. Full fledged Jedi Knight Anakin in ROTS, not so much. But I am incredibly biased as one of those few kids who actually wanted to be Luke Skywalker as opposed to Han Solo. t:
