"Well it's a contractually obligated beard...and hair. I haven't been around the stylist in so long, instead of Obi-Wan I'm starting to resemble somebody from Duck Dynasty I'm afraid..."

How I can get an audition for the new #starwars film??

Carrie's daughter supposedly has a role--according to Hamill she [Carrie] was looking for one when she found out there would be a Star Wars VII.

Now, Hamill said that he was shocked by this because since way back in 1983 when he wrapped on Jedi he always assumed that if Episodes 7, 8 and 9 happened it'd be without the core three players. He said he had a poker face on, but that Carrie Fisher immediately said “I'm in! Is there a part for Billie (her daughter)?”

Wonder if Chelsea got a part.

Happy Halloween UK style to my favourite Horror Host @Svengoolie! @DaveFuentes5

The beard is gone! He looks so much younger!

I hope his outfit ends up looking more ROTJ than prequel style. Those prequel robes were so bland and drab looking. Perfect for the prequels, but not for a series we're hoping we can respect again.

Except those same robes were also in the OT. Obi Wan and Yoda both wore variations of them.

Yeah, variations
And it was only those two. At least then there weren't hundreds ogf side characters decked out in the same blandnesd .

I rather think that the Jedi are humble and wear the most peasant type clothing. Not that it's an official Jedi outfit because other Jedi wore armor and cool tunics and stuff.

If he's in robes I wouldn't mind a balance between the prequel and ROTJ Jabba's Palace look.

I like the brown Jedi robes but I dig Lukes style more and hope he sticks with the black.

Just a thought on Mark's beard. We've seen it grow dramatically over the past few months. We know he shaved after the table read, and then appeared in early June at the Disney event with a short beard, even more of a goatee (as I think he called it in an interview). Then we saw him at the Guardians of the Galaxy premier with his longer hair and beard. This was early July I believe, so it was safe to assume he probably started filming either mid or late June with similar length beard and hair. However, over the past few months, he was photographed at a number of events with a steadily growing beard and hair. We know filming ended (at least for Mark) at the end of October, where his beard was significantly longer than it was in June (when he presumably started filming) and July, at which point he was certainly filming. I guess I'm wondering if we will be seeing a progression throughout the film? I know this usually isn't the case, as scenes are often filmed out of order, and I was assume especially so in the case of this film where Harrison's injury upset the planned shooting schedule. Perhaps Mark's earlier scenes with the shorter beard and hair serve as a flashback scenes? Who knows, I guess we'll see. I doubt JJ would allow noticeable continuity issues with the beard/hair. Also interested is the fact Hamill himself seems to have acknowledged throughout his interviews the look has transitioned from Obi-Wan-esq to homeless person out-of-control. The bottom line is, we know he started filming as early as mid-June, and was in London filming until the end of October when he finally shaved. Either way, 12/18/15 can't come fast enough.

I wonder if the rumor of Dark Skywalker isn't the real Luke but actually a clone version of Luke that was created from the hand Vader severed off on Cloud City in Empire Strikes Back. And the real Luke Skywalker went into exile????

I think he mentioned once that he had a barber or someone keeping his beard under control while filming, and that the really long, crazy hermit beard came after he was finished. So maybe he just kept it growing for fun?

Slightly off topic, but what was with Luke's hair getting darker in each film of the OT?
