Machete Kills Again... In Space! (2013)

The movie can be summed up by that quick Alba shower shot ----> it's nice, but it's no where near enough. :o

You know that was CGI, right? Alba was wearing a bra and panties when they shot that shower scene, and Rodriguez had his CGI artists "remove" her clothing.

I fear CGI nudity will become the norm for actors unwilling to do nude scenes.

Yeah, I read about this after I saw the movie. I had no clue, pretty believable. It's lame of Rodriguez, if the actress isn't willing, do something else.

The shower scene in Machete is more believably done than the obvious CGI used to nude up Leslie Mann and Olivia Wilde in The Change-Up. Talk about awkward.

If you want an actor for a certain role that requires nudity, try to get an actor who's willing to bare it all. For actors: don't use a body double or CGI if you really want the role -- if the script and director requires a nude scene and if it's appropriate to the tone of the movie, just do it. You're not the only actor who has nude screen grabs online.

But even if it's not from the same company, we're still getting a lot of these movies where they say, "Yes, we know this movie sucks, but it's on purpose!" Like, somehow it's okay to suck. :oldrazz:

Shoot 'Em Up
Crank
Crank 2: High Voltage

And soooooo many others.

Shoot 'Em up? Bad? Those are good movies. If you don't like them then you don't like them, doesn't make them bad, your just not a fan of those kind of action flicks.

Shoot Em Up and the Crank movies are not grindhouse movies. And they are awesome. :o

Well since Robert has so much on his plate and he keeps namedropping projects like a silly tease, don't expect Machete 2 anytime soon.

It has a complete script, a budget and a green light. It's Rodriguez's next film.

we will see won't we?

Because he and Eli Roth have a nasty habit of talking a lot about projects, saying this or that will be next and nothing happens. It's like how Todd McFarlene mentions Spawn 2 at least every year in the past decade. Tarantino use to do it but not anymore.

Considering how fast Machete was made, I don't see this one taking much longer.

To be honest I would rather see him taking on Sin City 2 first. I'm just a little jaded on Robert; he's just very erractic and the qualities of his movies as of late has been inconsistent. I still like him though.

Jaded is the right word. I don't hate him, but he's rather annoying with his choices. He has such an incredible story, but he hasn't really grown as a film maker. Spy Kids 4? Talk about cruise control.

The Spy Kids movies have all been very profitable up to the third movie. But I don't think the fourth one will match the success of the others.

I really do respect Rodriguez as genre director. His movies are almost always fun and different. Half of his filmography have high rewatchability which is more than I can say for most directors.

I loved the first film -- it was beyond :awesome:

And to think this flick started off as a simple fake trailer.

Sorry guys, Machete PWNs all. :word:

Machete gets a little tedious near the end due to the pacing.

Yeah, upon a few re-watches I am actually fed up of the movie now and find it hard to get through all the way, he added too much to the storyline for me.

I also think Black Dynamite is a stronger movie than Machete. Mind you I don't hate Machete.
Yes Black Dynamite is one of my favorite movies it needs to get more love its an amazing movie. But Machete n space that sounds crazy I will watch it I support Danny Trejo getting leads I thought the Machete was alright.

I didn't like the second half of Machete. It stopped being fun at one point.

That Thanksgiving trailer was awesome! lol Eli Roth's narrating voice is hilarious! He should narrate more of these grindhouse type trailers.

Totally agreed, it just gets to a point about halfway through were I totally lose interest and struggle to get through the rest of the movie, until Michelle Rodriguez comes out of the Ambulence anyway!

Three of the worst movies ever.

the worst part was not that she was wearing underwear. the worst part is that she didnt want to wear small underwear. is this normal? is this f.. normal ? :cmad:

Still, I'm having a JAL moment. :o
