Mad Max will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 1 in North America and September 4 in Europe, Warner Bros. and Avalanche Studios announced.
The previously announced PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions are no longer.
Pre-orders for Mad Max include an additional Magnum Opus car body called “The Ripper,” which packs a V8 engine, upgraded exhaust with custom off-road tires, grill, and a tuned suspension.
Mad Max is also the cover story of the latest issue of Game Informer. The magazine got several hours of hands-on time with the game and its 12-page story covers its impressions, as well as the game’s car combat, story, and characters.

I hope there's a long new gameplay trailer soon

Thank the Maker. I am looking forward to this, and it was almost like it completely disappeared after the delay.

The screenshots look awesome and the trailers have been great but I still need to see at least a 5-10 minute all gameplay video. They will probably happen at E3 though

This all sounds really good, but I'm still wary.

Good interview video,I'm still not convinced that there will truly be variety in the desert though. I think the story will be good and have fun gameplay but the game's world and the options of what you can do is very different than the Just Cause games,so I fear free roam will be a huge bore. car chases may be annoying and old by the time we complete the story

I'm hopeful that Avalanche is pulling it off, with working on the new Just Cause game already. I suspect the closer Mad Max Fury Road gets to release, the more we'll see the game get marketed to probably try and feed off some of the film's hype.

And really, it doesn't seem like there's many 'safe' dates to release on, with some major releases coming this year. Coming out the same day as Metal Gear Solid is going to be tough, but there's not many other 'safe' dates out there really.

How long before release do developers/publishers usually wait before showing actual gameplay? With 5 months to go I feel like the folks behind Mad Max are taking much longer than usual to show the game itself, but I don't have any statistics for this sort of thing so I could be completely wrong.
