I cant rememebr but was it ever explained exactly how Xorn I was able to look like Magneto, giving that he was Chinese?

it'd have all been easier if they just stuck with it being Magneto and having had both his and Psylocke's return connected to some mysterious something or other that a future writer could pick up eventually.

The post-Xorn debacle will be quietly forgotten about, ala the Clone Wars. It was a great storyline that was retconned because... Claremont wanted to return Magneto a 90s status quo? Who knows. And after that, Marvel only made the hole bigger, coming up with at least THREE explanations for how it wasn't Magneto, NONE of which made sense (especially the New Avengers one, Xorn was possessed by the Collective... who didn't exist until post-Xorn... WHA...?!) while Whedon quietly acted like none of this **** existed and Magneto was Xorn, like he was designed to. And technically, it STRONGLY implies Magneto was possessed by Sublime. Why didn't Marvel just say "Sublime possessed me, I'm good now" if they wanted Magneto good so bad... who knows. Other than to spite Morrison. Let the Xorneto debacle and Morrison's awesome storyline rest in peace.

I miss hardcore Magneto. *sigh*

Harcore Magneto being OOC sounds so very very very wrong.

Claremont's "Magneto-is-good" and Austen's "there's-another-Xorn" were editorially mandated. Neither one had much to say about it.

By the sounds of it, one of the lamest retcons ever. I enjoyed what Morrison did with the Magneto/Xorn arc. When you read the conclusion, you really get the sense of Magneto being this tired figure asserting ideals that people had moved on from. Then they had to turn around and say it was actually Xorn taking his form or some piffle.

^That HAS to be the biggest and lamest retcon EVER. Xorn was a joke and to have Mag's involved in that mess just was very very bad writing.

I am not all that interested in seeing Mag's show back up....but Ill stay positive about it.

Gotta agree with that....
but the new Xorn action figure is pretty cool.:yay:

One of the most overlooked problems in Morisson's new X-men was the fact that the story itself has plotholes. If Morisson can't execute his own story coherently, then what do you expect can the other writers do about it?

If you wanna infiltrate the X-men, you you hang around in China waiting for the X-Men to free you?

Xorn's introduction to NXM started in a back up story (New X-Men annual) where the New X-men just visited a funeral, a pretty much inconsequential side story.
