The reason this won't work is that once the trailer hits--well, no one here really makes it much of a practice to actually READ the threads they're posting in anyway. And with traffic so high, people are going to be shouting into the void even MORE than before. They'll double and triple post to ensure that whoever is scanning through WILL see their name and see that they exist and they posted and they thought Supermans was "SUPER KEWL ROXORS ONE ONE" and if it seems like that's in jeopardy--they'll just post again.

the number of posters here that do think before they post and read before they respond and quote only what they want to talk about is maybe around 15 percent of the membership. They're going to get drowned out. It's just going to happen.

The best thing you can do is just be patient, and that's it.

 

I agree with you scifiwolf, but it never seems to work. Most people on here don't take kindly to being governed by people who are not Mods or Admins etc.

I know it wont happen but it would be nice to have a mod just for this forum. However, I think they shy away from that now. But I agree. We should all keep calm but its going to happen. People are going to go nuts. I think everyone should just remember...we are here to have fun. That being said there will always be something that piss people off. We all arent going to have the same opinion.

bla bla bla.... there is no point in trying to bring order to that which is inherently chaotic, and why would you want to. The whole point of a message board is to allow the chaos to reign. This is the nature of the internet at it's core, and to control it would detract from its importance. So wolf, I say nay. If this board was just cool headed people stating their opinions and debating others, it would be absolutely no fun.

 

Actually, I highly disagree, but a lot of people think you NEED drama to have a messageboard. Cool headed people having involved discussions is the IDEAL. It's not wrong to want it.
