Major Crimes Unit Site?
www.GPDMCU.com

It's registered to 42 Entertainment. Can anyone get in?

(It may be too early for this to get is own thread, but you never know, someone might get in)

it says that your IP address is rejected. Could this be because of the Acme trap? It said that it got your IP address, so that might be it.

They blocked my IP address to get in. I tried to get in on my roommates laptop, who hadn't registered at the acme site and it was blocked on his computer too.

I'm sure they'll be no shortage of people refreshing this or trying to hack into it or whatever. When it goes live, we'll know about it.

Great find by JJZ-109. it's updated and I just submitted an email telling the MCU that I have a tip - bad news though, it was returned from postmaster... check back soon i'm sure

Just e-mailed them:

Subject: Joker's minions

We will never talk! Give up now!

the email says .org, but the site is .com - do you think that makes any difference?

nice, they fixed whatever they had to on the site?

Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: Gmail tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. The error that the other server returned was: 553 553 sorry, relaying denied from your location [209.85.132.249] (#5.7.1). We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. Thanks for your continued support. (state 14)

I emailed the .com address... no bounce yet.

I tried .com email address too (for you not sure, we're trying the email as .com instead of .org as it comes up) - no bounce as of yet. I like the idea above though that they already have our IP addresses from the other game... did anyone either not play the Acme Security game (w/ "needles") or have another computer they can use to try the .org?

The site works for me...and when I e-mailed them I got an e-mail back saying it failed to send...weird.

Hmm, mine was undeliverable. Bounced I guess? Hope they fix this, I was ready to talk. LOL Only false tips of course.

did you email them with the same email you used with the acme security site?

Message from .com:

Thank you for contacting Gotham Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit.

If this is regarding a major crime, we will route your email to the correct individual and follow up the lead.

If this is regarding a minor crime, please contact another unit.

Thank you.

I got this by emailing gpdmcu.com instead of .org!

apparantly .org is wrong. The site is gpdmcu.com so I sent it there.

that 4:44 theory is looking kinda plausable

i think the .org is still a factor in this one. it sinkholes data, methinks.

so now we know to use the email as .com - now what :D
