World Make your own X-Men!!!

Been creating these as I have far too much free time on my hands...

Theyre not perfect at the moment so let me know any problems you come across too while making them.

General rules for making them...

1) Cover ALL tabs with double sided sticky tape.

2) then cut out the shapes and stick them together (warning : they can get a bit fiddly but shouldnt be anything TOO complicated)

3) When you make the heads, I find it easier to stick the neck part together, and then stick the rest of the head together afterwards.

I made one the day it was posted... cutting the thing out was a pain. But I couldn't get tape to actually work to hold it together. Just places where the tabs were, and how flimsy the paper was, just wouldn't work. So I used superglue. It worked, but was a bit messier than I expected.

hmm.. you use normal sellotape or double sided? had no problems using double sided sellotape. Howd it turn out?


On a side note, working on a Colosus one at the moment in the end, BUT does anyone know what his current costume is meant to look like? id swear the colours seem to change depending on what artist is drawing it / what title its in.

Most times the color/design changes a little with every artist.

I wanna see Angel next (nonmetallic wing version).

I finished Cyclop with a little difficulty. I'd recommend using something thick like construction paper.

Just updated with Beast. I've finished Wolverine too, just got to tidy up the files a bit and put them in a PDF so he should be online tomorow.

Angel (Non Metalic-Winged version) will definately be next.

There we go, updated with Wolverine, il warn you now, hes probably the most complex of the models, so if you have any questions building him then feel free to post them.

Also people might need to play with the brightness/contrast a bit to get them coming out at their best with your printer.

these are really cool. i think the Beast one is my favorite

after you do Angel, can i suggest possibly doing a Magento or Gambit.

who do you think would be the hardest? my money's on Professor X.

I've actually had a think about how I would do ProfX and think I've come up with a way that shouldnt be too difficult.
Emma will be a learning curve, just because I'm trying to come up with a way to make the body shape at least slightly more feminine.

At the moment I think the hardest is going to be Nightcrawler, as I'm determined to do him in a crouching position. I only started doing these in the first place to push my skills though so I welcome the challenge

New update : Angel, as requested.
He's a pretty complex model. quick hint, the back big part of the wing just bends a bit so that you can fix the tabs to the edges on the front smaller part of the wings.. This curving helps give them support as well.
