Long torso and shorter legs with a broader-than-average shoulder structure. Muscled, but not bulky. Likes to swim for exercise.

Abilities:
Can see and manipulate sound waves (most preferably in air), by using his skin as a sound sensory organ. By diverting sound waves coming from any source and changing their amplitude, wavelength and frequency in microseconds, he can protect himself from most physical attacks and deal out impressive damage to opponents and surroundings. Because of his skins sound-sensitivity, he can see 360 degrees in all directions as a sort of second sight, making it nearly impossible to sneak up on him. His brain reacts instinctually to any dangerously loud sound or pressure waves (say, from a blast) by manipulating the wave properties of any other sounds in the area to cancel the oncoming sound wall out. He has a perfect music memory and can use the skin of his body as an enormous speaker to play whatever sound or song he wants.

Physical Abnormalities:
At the emergence of his powers, an overwhelming pain enveloped his torso and he blacked out. The resulting changes are as follows: A one-way-flow respiratory system that takes air in through two sets of eight holes on either side of his ribcage, through an enormous, twisted, intestinal-looking lung (this one-way design allows him to breathe water for short periods of time), and out through four windpipes. Each of these windpipes has its own voice box, each at a different vocal range, only two of which produce sounds hearable by the human ear (the other two produce sounds higher and lower than we can perceive). Another oddity is the structure of his bones, which are extremely strong, yet are hollow, and the biggest of his bones have a piece of extremely dense material suspended through the center of each of them which acts like an internal tuning fork, keeping him from getting off-key or disoriented by sound overload. One of the more obvious of Verent’s physical differences is the color of his eyes. His iris color changes according to his emotions or physical feelings (red-anger, flashes of electric blue-pain, yellow-amusement, green-envy, pea green-nauseated, orange-excited, etc&#8230. His eyes also give off a rather strong, ambient light. Because of this he usually wears dark sunglasses to hide his emotions and what he’s thinking.

Outfit:
In honor of the day his powers emerged, he wears a custom choir robe over his street clothes when he goes on missions. The robe is mostly white with large stripes and music symbols in electric blue and sun yellow. Wears a pair of dark sunglasses with lime green rims over his eyes. These glasses completely seal off his eyes in order to cut off the light that they emit. Never leaves the school without his Mp3 player

Past:
His powers appeared when he was eighteen and a senior in high school. During a vocal solo he had in the Easter program at his church, he suddenly had piercing pains in his chest and neck, at which point he screamed and blacked out. When he came to, he was in a hospital room under lock and key and being guarded. Apparently his scream had shattered every piece of glass within a mile radius of the church and burst many an eardrum in the congregation. Because of this, the authorities were keeping him locked down until they knew what to do with him. He managed to get somewhat of a handle on his abilities, and used them to escape. Remembering hearing something about a school for mutants, he tracked down a phone number, called Xavier’s institute for the gifted and got picked up and taken to the school.

Powers: The ability to transform pain, both physical and emotional, into fire and explosive energy both within her own body and the bodies of others. She is resilient to heat and fire. This also gives her a limited empathic abilities and resilience to telepathic assault.

Origin of power: Her powers first manifested at the funeral of her parents, who had been killed in a car accident. The grief and pain surrounding her acted as a catalyst to her abilities and she transformed all that painful energy into an explosion of fire, causing all the guests around her to spontaneously combust or burn to death in the ensuing inferno. She awoke in the crumbling remains of the church and knew she’d have to flee.

She lived on the streets, travelling through Germany by foot and train. The memory of what she did caused her abilities to flare up erratically and endanger those around her. She turned to self harm to control her abilities and provide a safe way to channel her pain and anger. However, the pain began to become too much for her to handle and she quickly started to dabble in drugs, particularly morphine.

After an overdose, intended to kill herself, she was found unconscious by a member of the public who brought her to a hospital. Through various blood tests they discovered she was a mutant and called the Institute for Higher Learning, and Nightcrawler was dispatched to persuade her to join. She joined the institute and was placed on Nightcrawler’s squad, assuming the codename Scar Tissue. She since became a Christian, in hopes of finding forgiveness for what she has done.

Personality: Once an extrovert girl with a rebellious streak, the death of her parents and the manifestation of her powers left her with bi-polar condition, causing her to sway in and out of depression. Because of this, she prefers to adopt a cold and uncaring front in order to save others around her from being hurt.

He has a slim body, he likes to run for excersice. He has broad shoulders and legs going accord to his body.

Abilities:
He is able to manipulate darkness and shadows, he can paralyze people just by standing on their shadows or make them hurt themselves the same way. He can hide inside the shadows. The only flaw he has is that when he is knocked out he goes into a blank state where he starts to attack not caring who is in his way. (In his blank state he is uncounscious.

Physical Abnormalities:
His left hand has weird symbols and looks as if it where shrouded in shadows creating a clawlike look. His powers will activate automaticaly when someone attacks him, its imposible to sneak up on him.

Outfit:
He wears a long black robe, some long black boots and black pants. On his left hand he uses a glove covering its abnormalities.

Past:
Doriand Harke is part of a wealthy family, his father and mother never paid attention to him and he grew up alone, defending himself. At age 14, when he was walking in his masion's backyard he was attacked by a feroucious dog, that was the trigger to activatin his abilities, when the dog threw himself on him, Doriand screamed and then all he knew was that the dog was blasted 10 feet away from him, and that what looked like shadows enveloped him like tentacles striking everywhere. At age 18 he decided to go to Charles Xavier's school for the gifted, and there he learned to control his powers, but avoids people, spending most of his times alone. He is a valuable part of the X-Men team, he is mostly used for stealth missions.

Origin Of Power: Birth. Developed when she was at the age of 14, while at her mother's lab. Tragically, she caused the deaths of her mother and 10 of her coworkers when she made a hazardous chemical turn into mist and get into the AC system.

Bio: Evelyn ''Evey" Wong was born to single mother, Doctor Aida Wong when she was very young. Her mother had been raped by an unknown American assailant during the night. Unable to take a life, she was born to Aida at her young age of 17. Evey grew up around her mother and grandmother and had grown proud of her mother's work at a pharmaceutical plant in Taiwan. When the tragedy of her powers struck, Evey decided it was time to leave Taiwan and her former life behind unable to face her grandmother. She's lived in New York on the street she was 15, at the age of 23 she finally joined the X-Men after many years leading a group of young female mutant gang member who felt they were freaks.

Ability: Transformation into a wolf. this power has made her pick up certain aspects of the creature she transforms into, fast reflexes, fast runner, exceptional hearing,sight and smell.

Origin of Ability: Unknown to her, probably since birth. Shot whilst morphed on a farm in Britain, her memories of early years are scattered (they are known to her by the proffessor, and she finds she is in fact british, and it was in fact her family who saw her morph at fifteen and shot her) but she clearly remembers the past twelve or so years. the shooting left her with a scar in her hairline and slight brain damage. she finds it hard to concentrate and gets frequent migraines. When fifteen she was shot, she was taken to hospital, upon recovery, she made the bullet taken out of her skull into a necklace, and accidentally morphed when her parents killed themselves ,she became nomadic, not daring to stay too long in case they threw her out again. she made money by selling rabbits to butchers to pay for what she couldn't steal.

Costume: usually dosen't wear one, she is in wolf form most of the time. when she is in human form though, she wears jeans or camo pants, singlets and tank tops and has a celtic band tattoo around her upper right arm. mostly she lets her long hair hang loose over her shoulders.

Personality: mysterious, a little bit tricksy, she has a store of insults and comebacks outnumbered, and usually sleeps in the school's dorm halls. she feels more wolf than human, and only changes to human form to face the public. to communicate, she has picked up minor telepathic abilities that only allow her to send thoughts.
She was there before wolverine came but they often have insult wars over "territory issues". they work together, pretty well but they often "accidentally" miss a weapon or something so the other has to make some fast movements...

Age: She is portrayed as a 15 yr old, but is actually only 12.

Power: She can use a shadow or create shadow power from anything. Her power is strongest during the full moon and the lunar eclipse. When in her full power mode she turns into a shadow herself and is basically invisible.

Orgin Of Power: When she was born, her two parents were sucked into a black hole. Dr. Drenton, the doctor who did the operation, saw that this black hole was created by their daughter. He did an examination on this girl and found mutant DNA in her. He ran to the alley beside the hospital and went back in. This black hole appeared again and sucked up the hospital. Ms. Emma Frost saw this and took the girl in with her to Prof. X's school. There, Emma Frost taught Remi Lorment how to control her shadow powers.

Bio: After Remi learned to control her powers, which was at the age of 10, she decided to join the X-Men. She had heard about the future war and decided she was an important part in saving the future. At first Storm and Cyclops didn't accept her, but when they learned that she actually was the main roll in saving the future, they told her she could join. Now she is 12 and the youngest X-Men ever! She also is super smart and she is the youngest billionaire ever...which can make her cocky sometimes.

Teacher: Emma Frost

Height: 7 ft, 9 in (Her powers give her growth spurts)

Weight: 89.5 lbs

Outfit: During battle she wears a slim X-Men outfit. When not in battle she wears a yellow sugar lip and bell bottom jeans along with yellow allstars. Her outfit helps her practice her acrobatic and flying skills.

Personality: She was a brat when she was young, but Emma taught her better. She is always peaceful and chocked full of interesting questions. She is a bfflad with Shadowcat because they have very similar powers. She has a crush on Wolverine!<3

Power:Can talk to fish and other sea creatures. He also has a very high hydrokinesis. He can also swim very fast. Once he becomes almost a master of these abilities, he can shape shift into a sea creature of some sort, but it will take a long time for him to learn.
Orgin Of Power:When he is in his ability mode, his eyes shock up, creating a glowing spark around them. And when he is really mad his whole body goes into the shock.

Bio:He lived a sad and lonely life, do to the fact he never let his family know his special abilities. Finally when he was 12, he faced it head on, and told his family. His mother was shocked, his dad, he was proud, but his grandmother that he also stayed with was mad. Horribly mad. The reason is because her husband had a special ability, but he used it for evil. And now that he had one, she thought he would turn the same, and become a villain, cause destruction, and never spend time with his family. She eventually told him, and he corrected her. Then when he was about 15, almost 16, the X-Men Origin came to get him. He is 24 now, and can use his abilities for many things. His goal is to master his ability, and obtain JUSTICE!!!!!!!!!:

He wears a oceanic like uniform, with a shark as the symbol to represent his sea abilities. His clothing color is mostly light blue, black, and dark blue. (Like his hair.)

[Obsidian Idea]

I like these kind of posts; we get to see each other's creative side...and some of us are really original and talented in the art and writing dept. I think alot of us here could have futures in the comic book world if some of us aren't already in it.

The down side though...and I don't mean to rain on anybody's parade, or accuse the poster who started this thread or anybody else...but these kind of threads can be created simply to steal your ideas and thoughts.

As I said some of us have ideas and visions that could land us at Marvel or some other comic book company...I stopped contributing alot of my ideas because I don't want to see my character, story, plot, etc turn up on the pages of Marvel, DC, Image or some other company under someone else's name who stole it from a simple little Marvel forum.

Be careful in freely contributing your valuable ideas and artwork on message boards and forums because there are people who have no shame getting opportunites or rich off your work.

Bio: Her parents died at the age 6, and was taken in by her grand mother and grand father. They died at the age 13, then she moved to the city of the X-Team. She didn't know about them until she got a call of Jean Grey. She lived in an apartment. For free though, just because she was so young. Then she told them to come get her. She explained her power and right away The Professor came. She didn't speak much, and still until this day, hates storm. (Because they resemble a lot!) She has obtained her skill until a master, and is now the age of 27.

She wears a technology like uniform, with armor on it. It is the colors of light and dark purple, and usually keeps her pet bad around her at all times. She carries a shield, and a hand knife.

Power:Sam had the ability to bring insane amounts of pain to those who look in her eyes at age six. At age sixteen she gained the ability to control shadows to blind people, create 2-d objects or solid, semi-permanent objects such as armor, containers, thin tentacles, and even animals(which don't seem to be made of shadows and have black and violet fur). A one point in time she got mad at Iceman for flirting with her and temporally blinded him then watch as he ran into walls. Also any shadows around her seem to squirm and jump. Finally at age twenty-one she had the power to create bright, black lights from the palm of her hands that burst into black flames when they came in contact with something.
Physical Capabilities:Sam possess amazing acrobatic skills and endurnce. She also is a master of several national fighting styles including Kung-Fu, Tae Kuan Do, Capoeira, and Jujitsu(Judo).
Bio/Orgin Of Power:Anko was born into a poor family when her father bought her a decorative sword her mother tried to kill him. When Anko interrupted her mother slapped her activating her ability to cause pain with eye contact, her mother left shortly after the insident. Her father remarried when she was eleven to her third grade teacher. When she took the sixth grade SAT's she put her teacher in a comma. A few years later her only friend Samantha Johnson ws killed. When her father and stepmother tried to wake her from a reoccuring nightmare, she woke with a start and impaled them through the heart. When she found out what she had done she cried and ran away to Professor Xavier's Instute of Higher Learning(but not before grabbing her katana). During the way she slipped and hit her head on a car hood causing brain damage and amniesia. She entered her subconscious and met a little black and violet wolf cub. Anko talked to it for a while the fell a sleep which woke her up in the real world. She woke on a metal table being examined by Prof. X and Jean Gray. She scurried off the table and questioned who they were. They told her then introduced her to the x-men. Jean, Prof. X, Wolverine, Emma Frost, Rouge, Bobby Drake, and Kitty Pride were the few people she decided to remember. At the age of sixteen she was transported five into the future by a mysterous mutant. Where she was part of the Brotherhood and was knocked out. The x-men found her and took her back to the x-mansion. She woke up and in disbelief the x-men asked her who she was when she said her name they gasped in shock and told her about the times. She was angered and asked how she could help. Cyclops suggested that they track the evil Anko through the good Anko, everyone agreed. Prof. X was killed by the evil Anko so Jean Gray did the tracking which melded both of the Anko's minds together into the older ones body. After more events I am to lazy to type Anko returned to the present in the body of the twenty year old.
Weakness:She is mortal so human causes can kill her(getting shot, stabbed, etc..). She is claustrophobic so her powers don't work in small spaces.

Extraue to her head injury Sam can enter her subconscious which she calls "World of Black sun" because of the black sun that inhabits the sky. This 'world' is filled with black and violet furred animals.

Origin of Power: His powers are thought to be linked with his alien race. However, since no other extra terrestrials of his race have been found, this cannot be concluded.
Bio: He is a stern but fair leader. He has no trouble being serious when he needs to be, but is actually a generally laid back person. He is a lieutenant in the American Military.
Teacher: Every thing he knows, he either taught himself or was taught in the military.
Height: 6"3
Weight: 84 kg
History: He was found when he was only 3 years old by a field researcher, Dr. Penelope Zalam, who was doing experiments out in the desert. The young boy was found in an alien escape pod that had landed less than a kilometre from where Dr. Zalam was working. Wondering what had caused the tremor and noise, she followed the explosion of sand until she came to a small crater. In the centre of the crater was a small, metal, egg-shaped container. Suddenly the container opened and there was a little green boy wrapped in cloths. Instantly, her motherly instincts kicked in and she took the young martian home and raised him as her own son, naming him James. Since then, the boy was home-schooled and eventually he took an interest to guns. Having seen his talents one day while James was practicing, Penelope insisted that he join the army. On the day that he turned 21, his mother took him to apply. As soon as they saw him, they told him to go back to Mars. But, once they saw what he could do, they had to let him join. Quickly, he worked his way up to Lieutenant rank and met up with the Xmen on one of his assignments. After Wolverine had risked his life to save James, the young Lieutenant felt that he had a debt to pay. So he told the Xmen that if they ever needed his help, he was determined to do so.

Power:is able to absorb kinetic energy from other mutants and toss it back as a lighting bolt killing or paralyzing the enemy for life. He also has extremely fast healing due to the energy in his body. He could be classified as level 5 mutant do to the fact that he can take energy from anything which has the potential to destroy the world, but he is a good guy.
