spidermanC:

thanks for watching out for people like me (i.e. someone who has been scammed)

spidermilk:

like spidermanC said, there's been a lot of b.s. that's gone down on this board. it's kinda hard to build up trust from a newcomer with such amazing pieces of art. i hope you can understand that from our point of view. people like me have a reason to doubt.

I'll say it again...... damm this looks cool. But I dont like the webbing down the side of legs. Stuff like this get s me inspired to finish mine. Might even combine some of the idea's into mine. :) Those shoulders look hot!!

Only time will tell if Spideymilk if the real deal or not. Even when TKE was running around for a little while most of us saw threw the whole thing..... Even with spideyC & I saying things don't add up people still bought from erine. Honestly No matter how much something may seem off Someone will risk buying. But as I said time will tell with S.M Nice concepts by the way.

hey guys im new here and puting my own spiderman costume together, im having trouble with the mask and how its put together. it be a great help if anyone had instructions or a how to guide that they could email to me please

[email protected]

all your help would be fantastic!

Thanks for all the comments,

Here's a few more, I actually spent a whole week infront of a screen to get some of these designs done, when I say a week I mean full 18 hours a day. I had a spare week with nothing to do, it was an experience but my goal was to complete some new spidey material from the data I already had composed.

To share some info, I have been working on a Venom costume and a Black costume, I don't know when I'll get them started but I already have the very first set of Symbiote frames and Spiders.

Also I had just been asked by someone through mail if the mask I showed was mine and of course it so to clear that up.

Very Cool..... You've certainly spent a few hours drawing up patterns. Nice work!!.

What's your background Spidermilk? You've certainly a few skills there.

Thanks, I'm a man of many interests and a passion for art. These superhero comic films are nostalgic of my childhood antiques. I'm an enthusiast of motion picture film.

You're right, I do have a problem- it's with people that scam in this hobby who give the rest of us a bad reputation. And I do see where this thread has gone, but it's not because of continual BS.. It's because of the liars, and thieves, who steal money on this thread. They post fake pictures or work that isn't their own, and then uniformed people send them money, and those people wind up with nothing, or the junk that a scammer actually made. Then all people hear are these stories, and other people looking for a costume don't know who they can trust.

You're more interested in splicing and dicing my words, seeking devision over them, rather than the idea expressed. What I'm sure you know, but are just trying to blind the rest of the tread from seeing is this.. You've expressed two ideas, in which I was combating in different parts.. So let me lay it out for you all together right here.

1. No matter how light your webs are, they cannot & would not scrunch up if they could be flattened out as perfectly as you had them. (I know you're thinking "how does he know this he's never made foam latex webs before!!" Well just because I haven't had FL webs before doesn't mean that there isn't foam latex out there that I can handle and see what it's like. )

2. The second part I was dealing with was if they were flat because you glued them down. The glue would have hardened and formed the exoskeleton to scrunch up your fabric. The rubber, or foam latex, has nothing to do with it. Whether or not if either of them hardened, it's the GLUE that hardens, and formed the exoskeleton to the suit.

I would like to leave it at that. I'm sorry if you are genuine and the board and I have given you a hard time. I am just tired of seeing people get scammed. It takes away from the hobby tremendously. No one can advance in making the perfect suit if they can't get the funding for it because a few scammers ruin it. I'd just like to throw my ideas out there, so people can make informed decisions.
Soo True Spiderman C..Sometimes it makes me think why Suitmaker scammers, liars, and thieves, who steal money on this thread and post fake pictures or work that isn't their own why they even waste there time on this thread in the first place. Believe me Ive had a taste of My own expierance with these kind of scammers..but when got what they wanted...and I was waiting..They were no where to be found.

You know Spiderman C I agree with you on this one..Maybe we should create a thread on "How Scammers Prented to Create a Spidey Suit" LOL.

All this stealing talk warms the heart!

Ernie casted his webs off of someones. He didnt have hard molds, just sheets of silicone. Im sure you guys knew this. SM reminds me of him... just the cocky way he talks...

Though...
I say give this guy a chance... but be cautious.

Ooh I detects hints a prejudice here, never mind though.

Sparkus

I might sound cocky on here but it's purely because with every post I write I'm having to defend my self*...it gets a bit old and tiring for the accused..

No offense, but I could have sworn I'd seen those designs done by a concept artist. The same one that did this:

Maybe I'm wrong but I coulda sworn.... Anyway it's cool to see them coming to life on an actual costume. If you need info on where to get it printed or sewn...shoot me a line.

And you'd be right with this Stan, "The making of book" was the first book I ever got when starting on this project,

I haven't claimed these to be my own, there are elements though and this was mainly when there was no reference to go by. The last pattern was an Alex Ross design who I think does great spidey stuff, but I thought every one knew that... I now know for next time.
Thanks

Oh my god, Spidermilk
I think it's just disgusting how you're being treated in this thread.
It's like you're a nerd in highschool with all the popular kids messing with ya, or something.
It's not like you're gonna sell them your blood, sweat and tears right?
Anyway... I hope things will work out:)

Hey thanks all for the words, but I do understand where some of you are coming from,
I feel there's just ways of doing things and in this case things could be handled better to save offending anyone royally.

That's why if it seems that I'm not saying much about anything it's for this reason too.

I think a Thread or a "Sticky" might work like someone suggested "so I'm all for it" but on the other hand it might not work so well to have this kind of disclaimer.

Well anyway here's more stuff I haven't shared, at this rate though I'll have nothing new for the site. lol

And here was something I wanted to keep till the very end, it was in fact helpful to see how the colors transposed from screen to printer, printer to fabric and then to a picture taken with a digital camera.

Note:this was primarily for the blue color mtching.

This is part most people dont see. Getting the colours right isnt as simple as you'd think. The colours you see on the screen of your computer is rarely the same as what is printed. This is the part that adds to the cost when creating new costume designs. Nice picture.

Hey Spidermilk... are you doing anything different when you post your pictures? The dye-sub above is visible but the classic spidey is just a white box with X in it. Anyone else having the same problem?

Yeah, same with me.
