I believe Ollie uses steel mesh for the lenses. Ollie, that surprisingly looks like my drawing. I have made a few changes though, when you get online I'll show you.
Looks great ollie, i remember hearing that the edges on the back spider were bevelled as well, i'm not sure if you want to go that far for accuracy, but it would just be even closer to the movie. (i'll try and find a quote for you... i think it's on the DVD)
Honestly speaking guys, I am sick of these silly arguements that has been going of for a while. I have created a forum for friendly, community like discussions. I have also tightened the moderation level as well. Here's the link if you guys wanna join. Thanks in advance guys ! http://spideyreplicas.proboards42.com/
I am not going to post to immature people over here. I am merely helping out someone who wants to know something, because Ollie doesn't go online very often.
Everyone, let's start over with no grudges etc.
Jawatrader, Hanielroswell, Purp, let bygones be bygones. I got no grudges anymore, its stupid to hold them so anyone whos got a grudge, lets start over. We all need help creating a suit, plus we like giving advice. Plus, we're ruining the forum, I'll admit, I'm responsible for a chunk of it. Start over as of now.
Anyways, after some hard work I think I'm almost there for my pattern. Check it out, all I need is to blend the highlighted muscles with the shading in the background.
I'm zoomed in at 33.3%, just in case anyones wondering.
SpiderFreak2 YOU Downed the Suit? Hmm can you give me any reason whyor even give the creator Spiderfan43. I think it look pretty good its not a Ham but for the time and the price its pretty damn good.
Spiderfreak2 - First you mentioned I promised it to 5 people, now 10. What a liar you are. If something can't be solved in a civilised manner, I guess I'll have to do it here. Attention older members, remember when I first posted the pattern ? And then I said I was giving it free ? Then I said I decided to sell copies ? I promised 2 guys the pattern, I believe the 2 guys got it. Spiderfreak said I promised it to 5 people, the amazingly increased the number to 10, and he has no names to give to me. What an embarrassment...
Spiderfan43, please join my forum, thanks. http://spideyreplicas.proboards42.com/index.cgi
TBX, the areas you did with liquify tool, on your pattern, seem not to blend in with the smaller bricks. The pic that you posted looks really good, but when you take it to photoshop and zoom in, you will see what i mean.
Hmm, TBX it's looking good. I do realize it's still a work in progress, so it's hard to give criticism if you already know yourself that it's not quite there.
Anyway, the way it jumps off of the pattern it reminds me of those hidden images... does anybody else see what i'm talking about?
my new suit is great. Spidyfan43 does a great job! It take a lot of skill to make one of these suits..and onyone that puts one down doesn't know how to make one and never has! It's the 4th one that I've owned. It's a great mix of the comic suit and the movie suit...the way it should be..Spiderman was a comic book character first..all you guys talking about colors and the way suits SHOULD be...the suit SHOULD be how ever the wearer wants it to be. Just like in the comics..all the artist draw Spidey in different ways. I've been doing Spiderman parties for a long time and It's all about preference. Check out my suit if you like.. www.MyPartyman.com Good job Jamey!!
