Oh, come on. They almost always mix and match characteristics from the various Flashes.

DCAU Flash had Barry's job, Wally's name and appearance, and Bart's personality.

90s TV Flash had Barry's name, Wally's metabolism and supporting cast.

But what about Wally himself? After Barry died, they have him Barry's name, costume, and rogues gallery. And then Wally married a reporter, had twins, became a police employee (a mechanic, whereas Barry was a scientist), got his own GL buddy, etc.

I think Wally is a great character, but he's always been a reflection of Barry. They pretty much gave him every aspect of Barry's character.

Wally also had the Titans even when juggling between the reformed team and the JLA. The only thing they've not knicked from him was his political stance: Wally being a conserative

They could simply have Wally be Joe West's nephew instead of Iris's (making them cousins). Fairly simple fix. And I guess they'll give him a different love interest, like how in the comics Roy and Thea/Mia were never an item.

Yes I said it before but its true unless the Convergence erases NuWally or designate him as the New 52's version of the Wallace West from the alternate timeline when Wally was presumed dead at first

Not to mention, unless I'm mistaken, the meta human who could turn Metal is supposedly a Wally Villain in the comics as well..and yet they made him into Barry's.

I just hpe that Malese gives a good performance as Linda in this take because they did not give her a good impression in the trailer, and i mean they just made her look like a simple booty call for Barry rather than a potentially interesting female character to join the series.

I was actually thinking the same thing as well. Heck, if Ronnie wasn't an issue, I wouldn't have even minded Barry hooking up with Caitlin for awhile

I think it's unfair to judge a character on a 31 second promo. I think Linda will be interesting and more than just "a booty call". I think she'll play a similar role to Detective Hawke in Season One of Arrow. Kriesberg said that she will appear in around 5 episodes of this Season.

I'm not so much as judging her as I am saying that the promo didn't give the best of previews for her introduction into the series.

I'm actually hoping that her journalism field will be utilized here though.
