I loved the bajeezus out of this beautiful film. Touching, moving, ACTION packed, amazingly shot, scored & acted. Everything I could want in a Superman film. Only criticism would be (and yes I get that he's suuuuper fast, but I wished the combat sequences were slowed down & not so Road Runner fast. I saw the amount of work/training put into the fights on te behind the scenes Blu Ray feature, it would have been nice to see them slowed down)

Heh, sorry, I had to get all that off of my chest, I digress...where was I?

First off WHERE can I find this theme gatdammit!?

http://youtu.be/FVW1KW2qFU0

The 'Flight' on iTunes is similar but it's like a lukewarm toned down version, where is THAT exact version & what's it called?

Also, I have just a couple of movie questions here if anyone would be so kind as to shed some light on for me?

So thousands of years ago Kryptonians sent out scout ships to explore slash colonize various planets, setting up terraforming outposts right? Well that ship aka the Fortress of Solitude some have dubbed it supposedly crashed in the ice like how many thousand years ago? What triggered the military to all of a sudden stumble across it? Also if Jor encoded the codex in Kal why were there still fully formed babies in embryotic sacks in the ship? And some say the open pod in that ship in the background shown for a brief second could be Kals cousin Supergirl, but what..she's a thousand yrs old?

Also all of the tech on the planet Zod & his troops found, how old was that? Would that equipment even still work? And why the corpses? How could Krypton just...leave their people to die? Would there be no communication between parties? Why didn't they just vamoose before they ran out of supplies or whatever?

And if Kal had trouble adapting to the atmosphere of Krypton as that was that atmosphere on the Black Zero, how does he breathe in space?

I know these may seem like dumb questions, forgive me, but I can't for the life of me figure them out?

Thanks!

Well I'm no expert on Kryptonian tech and physiology but I do have the song you are looking for...

Get the Man of Steel Soundtrack (excellent), the track is called "What Are You Going to do When You Are Not Saving the World." That's the full song.

As far as your questions...my best advice is, it's a movie. If you pick apart ANY movie you will have questions.

No one knows why the military were looking at the ship in the ice. They found something and wanted to know..leave it at that. Happens all the time in the world.

Those babies were there before Jor-El put the codex in Kal. Figure they were frozen or in suspended animation like the rest of the ship.

The open pod is an easter egg. It's not to be dissected.

The weapons were old, yes they worked. Happens all the time with guns. The old ones still fire. We can assume that the Kryptonians had no one to call, as the planet had been destroyed and perhaps they were unable to get home. Who knows?

I never thought Kal breathed in space. He was still in the ship with air leaving as he was talking with Jor-El. He wouldn't struggle as he is Superman after all. When he exited out, he's not talking or breathing, just flying into Earth's atmosphere.

Seriously though...it's a movie...don't try to do this to films. It makes all films bad. I hope you didn't see any Batman film or the Avengers, if you think like this, those films will drive you completely nuts.

I agree. Many people bring up the issues with MOS, but don't want to bring up the issues with other Superman man films.

Why does everyone have access to the Fortress of Solitude.

Why does Superman leave the city in Superman 2 without telling anyone.

Why in SR, Lois says she doesn't need a hero when just the day before he saved her from a plane crash.

How can Superman lift a kryptonite mountain?

You just have to allow the movie to have its dramatic effect. Don't get hung up on the details. Take it in as a whole entity.

Agreed. Some of my favorites to piggy back are-
SII: Superman left all metropolis while the villains were still there, as a result Ursa grabs Lois by the neck and capture her...Lois could have been dead right there.
STM: Spinning the earth backwards? First off, that's nonsense. And secondly if he flies that fast, how come it took him so long to get to the rocket? hmm..
SII: When he first changed into Superman in the alley, what happened to his clark kent clothes
STM: He jumps out the Daily Planet and he doesn't even change into Superman's clothes...they just magically appear on him! Oh accept the lower half is still Clark Kent's pants! lol..go watch it..it's silly
STM: Backwards S while saving the plane
SII: How did Zod and Ursa talk on the moon? I thought you couldn't breathe in space

And to be fair...my favorite actually belongs to the Marvel Universe with Avengers (which now looks like a silly kids movie to me)..

Avengers: Where the f^#% was the military during the alien invasion!? lol...seriously...NO military.

I could do this for days on all the films...even Batman. All in all I think MOS did a good job covering the majority of this kind of silly-overanalyzing.

Ahhhh THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to respond, it is greatly appreciated :awesome:

I actually didn't mean at all to come across like one of those guys who are like...stupidly questioning things that seem outrageous or not believable but are willing to have enough suspension of disbelief to take in say, a guy who gets ticked off & turns into a 12 foot nigh indestructible rage monster hahaha

I legitimately just wanted to have these questions that arose upon viewing this masterpiece (...yep, I am personally comfortable calling it that) answered is all. Sometimes I watch a film & miss certain things that others may pick up, that's all. If I'm not alone & others can't answer some of these then I know it's not just me & I was paying perfect attention LoL

I am going to see if that song is available on iTunes rrrrigggght now, & tie a red towel around my shoulders, grab my Man of Steel Movie Masters action figure & "fly" around my room, thanks again gents!

No problem. Makes sense why you are asking now...maybe you missed something. Totally get it and thanks for not taking my comments as me being a jerk, didn't want to come off that way.

And yes...it is a masterpiece...I 100% agree.

It really is, isn't it? Here's counting down to "Man of Steel 2" cheers! *raises giant Viking sized mug of ale*. . .still can't believe Batman is going to share the screen wiry Superman, simply amazing.

Yes. I'm looking forward to that. I can't wait to see more of Cavill's Clark/Superman, because the guy really is a great actor. And while I have reservations about Affleck, I have zero reservations about how Snyder will make Batman look and feel. More so than any other director, he gets comics and represents them IMO.

4NutzinYoface are you talking about the Genesis Chamber that was inside the Scout Ship? If so then those embryonic sacks were empty...no babies in them

Good point, I noticed that in yesterday's 5th blu ray watching. :woot:

I'm pretty sure that's what he was talking about and not when Jor-El dove down to get the Codex...speaking of which I bought yesterday and it won't ship until February!!! WHAT THE FRIG?!?!?! Must have a ton of orders
