Man of steel 2 possible plot and villians

I wouldn't mind Mongul either, the question is how to work him in?

The reason I don't want Darkseid in JL is that it seems it would be just like The Avengers. I'd rather see some version of the Legion of Doom or go up against the JL. Darkseid, even coming in with Goodness, Kalibak, Vundabar, Steppenwolf, would likely invade Earth with para-demons and hover tanks, and all sorts of alien weaponry if he is going up against a team like the JL. That's too similar to The Avengers.

I'd prefer Darkseid involved in a deep plot (ALE or world take over) using Intergang as a intermediary until the plot is unravelled, and then a final showdown with Superman.

The Avengers was about preventing a larger invaion. I would love to see Darkseid inact a full scale Global invation where the JL as to break up and take on differnet faction in differnet loaction on the planet. It should feel like an actual World War where it's Darkseid's army vs the armies of Earth(with help from the JL) and not Darkseid's army vs the JL.

Loki's attack was contained to NYC. Given that, of the six Avengers present in the movie, only two could fly, having the final take place entirely in NY worked out well. Cap, BW, and Hawkeye had to physically run around the city fighting aliens. The main JL members all have godlike powers (excluding Batman). Superman, Flash, GL, and WW could get to one side of NYC to the other in less time than it takes to blink an eye. Darkseid's invasion would be global in scale in order to provide the JL with a challenge.

Seriously, if WB/DC wants to do it right, they can't just throw Darkseid into a movie. I would bring him along as a background villain to Intergang in MOS 2, pulling all the strings behind the scenes but not make an appearance in the film. Then I would set up his search for the anti-life equation, maybe use Kalibak or Grayven as initial villains for Superman to fight against, or maybe introduce them in other properties like GL2 or WW or whatever. But Darkseid is too good of a villain just to throw in for one film. Heck even Loki got a better set up for his character than that.

That kind of reminds me of what S.H.I.E.L.D and Jane Foster were doing in Thor.

I want Superman to fight Darkseid in MOS3. Let them tackle the intergang or a team of multiple supervillains in Justice League. That keeps it from being "The Avengers" and the whole Thanos scenerio. But it also allows there to be a PERSONAL encounter with Superman from a really great villain. I'd love it if he showed up as a surprise villain on one of the JL sequels.

The problem with Superman fighting Darkseid in MOS 3 is that in order for a JL movie to work, Superman would have to get his ass kicked. Otherwise, why do we need to JL to take down Darkseid if Superman can do it on his own. Superman losing in the finale would be downer ending to a trilogy (I think that's what Snyder is aiming for). A hint of Darkseid's presence and scheming would be good as set up, though.

I wouldnt mind if the sequel was basically a trinity film, and the threequel was a jla film.

The same way how we got 20 mins of krypton, I think the sequel can start with 30 minutes of Themysicyra. (After a 5 min intro of the reboot ski mask phase Bats)

Supes has asked the world to trust him. Would he show that same trust to another superpowered being (WW) roaming the world? Bats doesn't trust either.
