I highly doubt the game had anything to do with it. It sounds like he just had a quick burst of anger and beat the hell out of this girl, stupidly not realizing the consequences.

My question is if he actually told the wife when he woke up? Did she awaken and see the baby lifeless and ask him what happened or did the police interrogate him? My mind can't grasp the horror of a father confessing to a wife "The baby knocked over the game console so I hit it".

I don't know, but I don't expect them to lie about his innocence. I can understand if there was some kind of questionable thing. But this guy wrote a 3 page confession himself, detailing everything he did.

They can express how horrible they feel for what he did, but they can still still stand by their family member.

This makes me just want to become involved again. But it's hard to rally enough people to give a ****.

I'm sure this could have been prevented,the signs had to have been there. Someone that acts so quickly based on emoition alone,without thought of their action. It's arrested development at it's finest.
I can't imagine want kind of turmoil the child would've had to have gone through if she grew up in that household.
