Man punches baby to death!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeez what an idiot. Who the hell has their PS2 or 360 stand up vertically? And who lets their kid get near wires? And who the hell punches them and kills them for doing it? This guy is a 3 time idiot :o

Yeah.

You know that Jack Thompson is gonna have a field day with this.

Games are addicting; everyone hardcore gamer can confirm this.

It is same as drugs. Or booze for that matter.

In prison, HE will be the "Playstation".

Kid killers aren't popular guys in prison. If they just "play" with him, he'll be extremely lucky.

Youre right. Those guys are in trouble if they get in jail. Torture.

There is nothing humorous about a 17 month old child being punched in the face and eventually being killed. If people need humor to deal with something like that, then the state of humanity has really become a pathetic species.

Well then that means you finally got the news. Congrats. You're only about 3 or 4 generations late on that one. Plus I think what you meant to say when you said that if they would give you five minutes alone with that guy is that he would have to be blindfolded and have shackles on his wrists and feet, because I will always bet on the violent black guy over the "tough guy" front put up by a white guy behind the computer monitor. He would jump you, toss your salad, and then smoke your mother****ing ass.

I have my system vertical, it saves space. I wouldn't even get angry if anyone were to knock it over accidentally though, and I don't think a year and a half old baby would knock anything over with the intention of pissing somebody off. Yeah, the guy's a gigantic idiot.

His license to practice law (in Alabama anyway) was revoked, who would care?

OMG....I'm literally speechless. This is just. . .omg:o

"Tyrone Spellman, 25, punched his 17-month-old daughter in the face, twice, after she pulled on the cords linked to his video game system (apparently a vertical-standing 360 or PS2), causing the system to fall and scratch the rented game inside. The child’s body was discovered by the mother, who awoke from a nap and saw that the child’s eyes were closed, and that she wasn’t breathing. The child, Aaliyah Spellman, was pronounced dead at the hospital."

i hope he gets raped in prison. then punched to death. there's no excuse for this, nothing anybody can say or do to make this forgivable. he took a child's life.

I always hear that. I bet it's just a myth. Murderers and rapists judging child abusers. Absurd.
Its because everyone was an innocent child at one time and had that innocence stolen from them.

I think castration should be used for a number of punishments.
Like some kind of permanent birth control for mothers that have their kids while addicted to drugs, child abusers ect. Along with jail time or the death penalty, of course.

Some people have been reformed. I know quite a few people that have stopped abusing drugs;cocaine, crack and some other stuff.

Agreed, though castration doesnt work for pedophiles.

In this case, it would apply.

I'm disgusted. I hope he gets his @$$ kicked. I get from that mug shot that the SOB has no remorse and doesn't care he got caught.

i think they do it to feel better about themselves. like "yeah I might be the scum of the earth, but by beating him up that shows that he's worse than me and if somebody is worse than me, then I must not be that bad.

Well, still, Jack will protest video games even more.

I hate that man.

He would put grape jelly on his butthole and lick it off? Seems like an awful strange way to beat someone up.

Im sure there are a lot of people that have been reformed.
But there needs to be some kind of personal deterrent for these people as they are obviously too selfish to care what happens to any life but their own.
So maybe they will give second thought to their actions if the punishment is placed on them instead of the innocent.
Perhaps it can be a removable birth control. So when they are reformed the government can remove it after a number of years being sober.

I'm a firm believer in "it takes a village to rasie a child". Communites need to more involved with what is going on. This could have been avoided if someone saw that this man was a danger to this child based on so many things. There could have been some sort of intervention.

You realize that most sex crimes are about power and control, not sex, right? And you do realize that most violent crimes have nothing to do with a offender's genitals but rather deep-seated psychological issues or severe anger management issues. Neutering everyone, chemically or not, really isn't going to make much of a difference. We have PRISON for a deterrent, but the prison system needs a huge amount of reform as it caters to prisoners these days more than it deters or rehabilitates them. Look at some of the state governments that have reinstated prison work camps where prisoners work their asses off six days a week doing hard labor. THOSE kinds of places have a very low return rate once prisoners get out because they never want to go back to a place like that ever again.

Who says there were every any warning signs that he would do something like this? Community intervention is a dangerous thing, anyway, because the world is full of busy-body a-holes who get off on interferring in other people's personal affairs, particularly where kids are involved. The one person who had a responsibility to know if this guy would do something like this was his wife. If he was abusive to the child, taking his anger out on her prior to this incident, and she was aware of it then that kid's death is as much her fault as it is her husband's. Some people just snap with no warning, though. A Playstation may have been the catalyst, but who knows what else was going on with this guy that pushed his stress levels to unmanageable levels like that. I'm not saying he's justified in any way shape or form, but do you really want all your friends and neighbors spying on every little thing you do with your kids and then holding interventions when they think you are doing something wrong? And trust me, someone will decide you're parenting all wrong and that you need to be corrected.

That's because most of the inmates have some sort of history of childhood abuse.
