Both of them don't get Superman but I'll admit Millar doesn't get him even more.
You could make the argument that the reason marvel was/is more popular than dc is because of relatability. But Superman is one of the most powerful beings in the world, i dont really want him having kids i just wanna see him kicking butt. I just think Singer got too caught up in making him relatable. SR shoulda been called Clark Kent Returns, cause imo it was more about Clark and Supermans personal life than Superman.
Indeed.
You might as well scratch off Clark and to even some extent Kal-el if you don't want to relate at all.
Another story that once again throws this situation into disarray, honestly what the hell is going on WB?
How people can say Bryan Singer doesnt get Superman and then at the same time want Miller to do a re-boot is just beyond me, THE ABOVE IS NOT SUPERMAN. Sorry but i dont want THAT ABOVE from a Superman movie, EVER:

its kinda funny that millar claims superman doesnt love lois, yet kingdom come is close to perfect. when, in kingdom come, clark gives up on being superman because of lois' death.
HA HA HA...
When news is slow, this is what happens to us veterans![]()
Yeah, I know what you say. Same with Red Son, wasn't he very attracted to Lois there as well? I don't like Millar. I think he has a huge EGO.![]()
Well, you know, some of us actually appreciated that SR had a serious story about Superman, how he feels being so powerful and on his place in the world. To some of us, he is much more than just an action figure that punches things.
I can appreciate that, and personally I liked seeing that too, however theres a point where the story can overtake the characters. I mean I have no problem with Superman having a serious story. But that still does not stop him from being Superman "truth justice and the american way" the most powerful being and i would have just liked to have seen more of it, i mean the bullet scene was really all we got for gods sake Luthor did more punching in that movie than Supes. I felt the only "Superman" moment he had in the movie was after the saved the plane he gave the remark "statistically air flight is still the safest way to travel". Thats it, the only true Superman feeling i got. The rest of the time i was like the good parts gotta be coming.

t:.I agree with AVEITWITHJAMON, its funny how some can totally bash SR and agree with Millar's views on the character. Either way its not like this is going to happen, their focus I'm sure is on the dark knight right now considering its less than a month away. After that you will hear news especially if TDK is big, their going to want to capitalize on it.

You're right, in the next Superman film, they better give us 2 hours of punching, OR ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

[/QUOTE]Anyone can go to Warner and make a proposal, since Warner doesnt know what to do at this point. They are in a waiting game.
If any writer wants to try, its valid.
It's all good though, you guys are just wrong.
*Waits for the angry SR fans*
I dont wanna relate to Superman, thats why he is Superman.
) & trying to do the right thing, even thought he isn't super with not being able to do everything like us. Isn't that what many of us as kids love about those heroes? Being related to the heroes doesn't always mean it about powers. It about who they are, which you can see why Spider-Man is popular with kids during his first app. in Amazing Fantasy #15.
