Marvel March 2007 Covers/Solicits

Wait wait wait. This is getting ridiculous.

*does a bit of math*

Uncanny X-Men (1)
X-Force (2)
Wolverine: First Class (3)
Wolverine (4)
Wolverine: Origins (5)
Logan (6)

My god. Is Wolverine still in the New Avengers?

How about the Mojo Mayhem Special, it only has a little Wolverine in it?

It's happened before for other books, we'll for sure get a solicit for Immortal Iron Fist next month.

If it and The Order were canceled, my world would collapse for a few hours.

I can relate to this.

IIF's sales, at the very least, are holding steady. THE ORDER's seem to drop every month, so I gasp every time that Top 100 list comes. Hang in there, fellas.

Yes, he is.

And as others noted, that doesn't could Ultimate X-Men, and Marvel Adventures Avengers. But, yes, Wolverine gets around.

To be fair, Storm's been popping up in a few books this year herself, but not as many.

DC ****es out Batman & Superman about as regularly as well.

Tony Stark appears in more books than Logan does. How come no one ever *****es about that?

Because I forgot.

And the funny thing is, by virtue of an Iron Man cameo, the book is then suddenly a THE INITIATIVE tie in. Even if he only appears on a TV screen or something.

Probably because Iron Man's high profile within the Marvel universe makes it sensible for him to appear in so many books. Wolverine's just some schlub who's ostensibly a vicious a**hole yet who constantly keeps adding new teams to his résumé.

He's moved away from being the ***hole anti-hero. Most times, he's used as a sort of light comedic relief.

Either way, the guy's ostensibly not supposed to be a joiner, yet he's on like 3 or 4 teams simultaneously now.

That would seem to make him a joiner. He's obviously grown in character. I don't have a problem with that. I don't have a problem with him being an Avenger and an X-Man. It just gets old when there are at least 3 X-Men teams, and he's on all of them. Now, with the addition of X-Force, that'll be another team Logan juggles his time with. That's going to be a bit much, even for me.

I still tend to prefer his solo adventures. I always loved those really long arcs where he'd go off and look for clues about his past. Although that's all gone now, what with his knowing his past.

The Rucka issues of his solo book were pretty great. I liked Loeb's short stint, but I'm in the extreme minority there. Guggenheim's current storyline started really slow and has since gotten fun. It's written well, but it's not the kind of story I'd want to see in a Wolverine book.
