- CIVIL WAR will be almost over, but Marvel doesn't mind letting us know plot points in advance, even ones that have already been predicted (like the Richards marriage breaking up). God GOD man, have they learned utterly nothing from HOM or CIVIL WAR, where EVERY plot point had been predicted, debated, and seen coming from page tp page? How can DC manage to keep IC stuff quiet but Marvel still seems to be thrown by events? To be fair, however...its not as obvious as HOM was. We still don't know who's dyin'.
- Speaking of death, YA/RUNAWAYS #4 also shows us that Molly, alongside Victor, Lucy, and Nico, survives the next arc of RUNAWAYS. Which puts the crosshairs on either Gert, Old Lace, or Chase (the latter is the one I've predicted and been fearing for, 'cause I like 'im and he's probably my favorite Runaway). Granted, I doubted Marvel would have the balls to kill off an 11 year old girl like Molly on panel. No Western comic has the nuts to do that, and perhaps that's a good thing. They also state that the next RUNAWAYS arc may entail that dead ISN'T dead.

Hey, I wouldn't mind, I like all the Runaways, and BKV is a master at twists and turns on that book.
- I'll be sad to bid MTU farewell, but in all honesty, its peaked out and I'll get to enjoy that sort of madcap action with ANT-MAN and McDuffie's BEYOND!, at least for a few more months. Marvel needs more honest superhero action, though. I'm getting tired of all the destruction and angst that comes with events.
- I guess Marvel allowing Liefield on covers is equalivant to "welfare" for comic creators, eh?
- Glad to see Stan Lee writing for Marvel again.
- NOT glad to see the debut of Ultimate Cable, although Kirkman having McKeever as a co-writer for Ult. XM can only improve things (since I am getting tired of Kirkman's solo Magician stroking on that title). Now if only Bendis would allow a co-writer on USM so I can't predict every bloody plot point.
- NOT looking foward to the return of "Carnage" on USM during the CLONE SAGA, which admittedly has begun very well. Granted, considering that "Carnage" was a soulless, hollow "monster" made from altered Parker DNA, I guess any lab rat could crank out more of 'im. It also seems to confirm that lab tech Ben Rielly is making some moves. I just hope Bendis doesn't sacrifice ANOTHER good character to a sad sack like "Carnage". That storyline was pretty much the "turning point" of USM for me, and ever since it hasn't been as strong, even with fare like HOBGOBLIN and WARRIORS.
- The Ult. Fan Four trek into a space opera? Ferry on art? I'm THERE! I just hope Carey doesn't lose a beat from Millar's GREAT run on that book.
- I'm still hoping the YA and RUNAWAYS escape CW without being too mangled for their creators to deal with.
- I wish Paco Medina had stayed on MTU and not moved to NEW X-MEN.
- A Space Phantom posing as Spider-Man on BEYOND!? Well, that may explain how they get out of that #1 cliffhanger. But can McDuffie overcome a Marvel climate where NO plot point is ever kept secret? This isn't JLU anymore, where despite all the mistreatment of the show by CN, CN at least kept major plot points to themselves. Zing!
- So a war with Atlantis is coming for CW, eh? I just hope in the aftermath, Marvel CREATES something. Because after a while, you run out of good crap to destroy. I mean, DISASSEMBLED was a big deal because after 500+ issues the Avengers were being dismantled, so it was some big (poorly written) thing. Now the New Avengers, after less than 2 years and barely 2 stories where the entire team actually "assembled", are being ripped apart. Sorry, I feel little for seeing a team that was barely a team to begin with fall apart. Its like watching a half constructed building get domolished, sort of like in ERNEST RIDES AGAIN. It just seems like a gag after a while.
