Doesn't bother me really. I can't say Guardians 2 really left me excited to see another one anyway. I just don't see him as this irreplaceable figure in the MCU, but I appreciate that I am in the minority on that.

So I take it the curse of 'one man never having been able to direct an entire Mcu trilogy ' continues.

I've still got a bad feeling about this. Can't shake the jitters from "Sony" or "Amy Pascal".

It's not just alt-right folks who'll do this as there are plenty of people of all political stripes and persuasions who'll go after those they see as political foes.

The REAL issue is Disney knew all of this already and decided to establish a partnership with Gunn. A successful partnership and now they've just thrown him under the bus. I can't respect Disney for such a punk move.

This is a pattern with Disney. ABC execs knew about Roseanne Barr's history of racist and inflammatory tweets going back a decade and even warned her not to repeat that behavior before hiring her. Then, when she predictably spewed the same crap, they acted shocked and fired her. In both situations, the company wrung as much cash as possible out of its employees before deciding they were toxic.

This is ridiculous. Anyone familiar with Gunn's early work knows that this was just his sense of humor at that time. PG Porn had stuff in it that was more extreme than those silly tweets. I honestly don't understand why Disney decided to kneel before some white supremacist neonazi scum

I don't understand why Gunn, a grown man, felt the need to tweet the things he did. They weren't at all funny.

He made his bed, he can lay in it.

I think Brad Bird should be who replaces Gunn for Vol 3 and bring Nicole Perlman back to work on the script

which he admitted in hindsight. so, he's guilty of making unfunny jokes that went over a couple of people's head's...that really doesn't justify his firing
