Brian Posehn, Gerry Duggan, and Tony Moore have been announced as the creative team for Deadpool.

Here's the promo piece:

Hahaha, I might give DP a shot again. It's been a while. I know nothing about that creative team though.

Nah, I honestly did shrug. I got burnt out on Deadpool a few years ago and I just have no interest in reading his solo adventures anymore. I like him on Uncanny X-Force though.

yeah I hear ya
I think we can officially call it now, Way's deadpool sucked
I can't stand the split-personality thought box nonsense
Remender's got him pretty down though

I just appreciated Marvel pokin fun at themselves a bit

Didn't Joe Kelly invent the split personality thought box thing?

I honestly think Deadpool works best as a supporting wild card/comic relief character.

The Deadpool bubble burst for me once they started milking Wade like they milk Wolverine. I'd rather read trades of the Joe Kelly run than the current comics.

No. Joe Kelly wrote Deadpool having interactions with his inner yellow dialogue boxes, something that Simone and Nicieza continued with, but Way went all out with the split personality thought boxes because he didn't want to write Deadpool's supporting cast.

The issue with Wade calling a meeting to discuss what X-force had done with Apocalypse was one the best moments the character has ever had.I'm happy Way's run is done.It was enjoyable at first but spiraled fast.

DP also had a great moment in the recent issue of UXF when he talked to Kurt about still fighting even though he lost his Healing Factor because the team is the closest thing to a family he's ever had. Remender does terrific work with the guy.

Oooohhh.

So Way's interpretation just had more of a split personality.

Yeah, but other writers haven't been so reliant on the split personality thing

And the main takeaway from hh's post is really that Wade needs a supporting cast to bounce off of
Non-stop zany deadpool gets tiresome pretty quickly

Some nice new creative teams for relaunch. But for the solo books ie hulk/thor/cap/ff I still see it silly to start at one again. When most are cracking 500-600+ issues. Though who knows if renumbering won't change. Like they did with asm yrs back before they hit 400/500 I forget which.

More Hollywood types coming in at Marvel to write...? I was just ranting about that yesterday.....

Precisely. Deadpool did have somewhat of a split personality, but it was more of a break the fourth wall kind of deal and the yellow boxes really didn't have that much of a personality. Way on the other hand decided to give Deadpool an extra box to interact with and give both of those boxes full blown personalities.

But the boxes just get even worse on the simple fact that Way didn't want to write Deadpool's awesome supporting cast. Deadpool is just as dependent on his supporting cast as much as Spider-Man is. Without it, the stories really suffer. It's why Gishler's Deadpool was far superior to Way's. It wasn't great, but it was still leaps and bounds above what Way did.

Has Brian Posehn written comics before. He's a funny guy, I'm just worried that his run would be more Way-style uber-wackiness.

Remender on Cap - :)
Romita on Cap - :(
Allred on FF - :)
Fraction on FF - :(

Fraction and Bagley seem a good fit for Fantastic Four. Might check that out.

Spurrier has said it might not be X-men Legacy he is writing.I'm thinking it might be new mutants.
