It sounds like the She-Hulk refrain its a legal show. It wasn't "the suit" be it yellow, black, or a reddish hue, but rather we had Matt Murdock in a business suit. In effect more Longstreet than Batman.

But wouldn't they know before filming? That's the part I don't get. Yeah, maybe in paper sounds good and once you see what was done in production you get a real sense of what the show is, but the scripts are written, they *know" what happens in them. How can they act so surprised?

Speculation on my part but I think it took Secret Invasion coming out and failing to give them the wake up call. They were probably repeating some of the same mistakes while Daredevil was in production but it didn't really fully hit them until SI was released. That and maybe with the strikes going on, it finally let them take a step back and revaluate everything that was going on.

Is that reliable or are they just kidding? Since any scooper could put any bit of info and we'd grab it like it was gospel. Plus, if this was its own thing not really connected to the Netflix show, would killing Karen and Foggy have any emotional weight if newcomers had no idea who they were? Who would these random people killed be to someone who only knows this Daredevil through She-Hulk and No Way Home?

I mean yeah take everthing with a grain of salt, but Alex and Cosmic Circus have been pretty reliable in the past. They've broken scoops in the past that had not been on anyone's radar like Werewolf by Night being in production.

My god. It's baffling how they are so badly botching an easy win. I have low expectations for Marvel TV at this point but there's really no excuse in this case. The Disney+ era is making me me that Netflix deal.

Should Echo or Agatha gotten a show? Probably not no, those were unfortunately green lit in their phase of ramping up their streaming product (though I feel Agatha may end up being good due to the cast) . I disagree about Ironheart though, I feel like that has potential to work (whether the limited series format will help or not is another story). Regardless the ship has sailed on any of them getting scrapped. But I feel dubbing worthless characters is a bit much. I don't think any of these characters are worthless, it's just the execution of how they are being handled. Not every character needs a show, but a lot of characters work wonders as supporting acts.

Ironheart finished filming almost a year ago but is not set to be released until fall 2025. Probably another production that turned out bad and they have to redo most of it.

As for Echo, they ended up cutting out a whole episode's worth of material and edited 6 episodes down to 5.

They've clearly botched multiple series in a row now.

I know it isn't easy to make a movie or a TV show. But where exactly are they failing? How come most of their shows are not great or even good?
Showrunners, writers, directors, executives... too many cooks in the kitchen is my guess.

I still believe they don't know how to do episodic storytelling. One random episode of Stranger Things is so much more compelling and satisfying than having Samuel L Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn in a spy thriller. That doesn't make any sense. Something is not right.

I know the general consensus on Mayor Kingpin is that it's an interesting idea but like

am I the only one who thinks that's outright silly for season 1?

The last time we saw Kingpin was him at his usual antics and getting shot in the head, now he's magically Mayor of New York with no prior buildup?

There needs to be something to bridge that, a tad. A reason for New York's ultimate crime boss to randomly decide "yeah I'mma go into politics"

Binning that was absolutely the right call. Mayor Kingpin is not a season 1 storyline

Same. It just makes the most sense. I think truthfully the only reason they didnt make this season 4 is because they dont want the baggage of the other netflix marvel shows. Because then everyone would be like “so wheres Jessica, Luke and Danny?” And Marvel likely wants to distance themselves from that but keep the one character and actor out of that bunch that everyone unanimously loved.

After a few years of Disney+, I no longer consider anything in that Netflix universe to diminish the MCU brand.

Daredevil maintained a pretty high bar under 3 different show-runners after the original writer moved on. There's apparently plenty of people Disney could hire who would do a good job. They wouldn't be cheap enough now though.
