Born Again Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again General Discussion Thread

Exciting news!

Also, judging by the new Echo trailer and the interview with the head of Marvel TV, the Netflix shows are canon.

Hopefully everything goes smoothly from here despite the issues to date. This show is going to be open to the most criticism if it fails, given the directly comparable and top quality Netflix show. If they can make it even 70% as good it will still be great.

AMAZING news if it’s true! I really loved them both. Especially Karen. The 3 of them had such an amazing dynamic.

That it took for the original intent of the series to explode to get them back is pathetic. And quite honestly, makes me suspicious.

Oh, well if Jeff Sneider is saying these things in his paywalled articles, then obviously I have no intention of paying it any mind. With his track record, I'm not gonna suddenly start believing him if it's news I might want to happen, and then discount him when he probably has no idea on other things.

Good to have it finally confirmed. I wonder how much they’ll have to rewrite to get them in.

Let's be real, his posts on the strikes were a bad look and he deserved all the mocking that came his way. Like the trades, he was probably getting fed info from studio execs that wanted the strike over as soon as possible, actors and writers be damned.
Having said that when it comes to everthing else, he has a pretty decent record on his reporting and we know he has sources from the studios (the Sony leaks showed that much). The dude can be annoying but I wouldn't discount him on this stuff.

Well, I'm discounting him right now. If he ends up being right, more power to him, but he's just another scooper who we have no reason to believe on face value simply because it's news we want to hear.

I've no idea wether this Sneider character is reliable or not since I don't follow these people, but of course this would've been awesome if true. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Of course still highly sceptic.

This is great news if this is true. I think Marvel bringing them back makes me wonder if they're under a lot of pressure because the TV side of things have taken a nose dive.

It also makes me wonder if canonizing the Netflix shows was even being considered. What better way to get people excited again then making these shows canon.

He’s one of the best scoopers in the business.

And a broken clock is right at least once a day.

So after all the wrong guesses Sneider got during the strike, people suddenly are acting like he's always had a great track record? Consistency, folks, what is it? :D Again, maybe scoopypants Sneider is right, but I'm not about to believe him at face value any more than I would DanielRPK or MyTimeToScoop.

Pretty bad if they really planned that for the first episode. Permanently removing 2 of Matt’s major supporting cast right off the bat.

Killing Foggy and Karen off screen would of sucked. Both actors have openly said they would love to come back.
Glad to hear both of them return. The chemistry between the three of them is what helped make Daredevil on Netflix so entertaining.

Moronic. I hope someone wrote this on a post-it note in the Marvel offices: If you're trying to milk the popularity of a returning character, you shouldn't tank that good will immediately by killing the rest of the core cast off-screen.
