Last year's Marvel Studios' panel was pretty sweet: Loki's epic grandstanding, TWS and GOTG clips, the AOU teaser. How do you think they plan to steal the show this time around?

We're intercepting a transmission from deep space... It's a message from a... talking raccoon?

(Edit: To be clear: I was thinking of a replacement for "Loki's epic grandstanding", since he was from a past movie. I wasn't trying to list what *new* announcements might be made, which is a different question...)

I want a teaser meaning a banner picture for Doctor Strange, thats all. And I hope they'll reveal who's playing Doctor Strange.

That's simple. Just finally announce what was always written in the stars:
images

since it is his destiny, since he was born to play this part, all MS has to do is make it official

Easy. I reckon they'll have a trailer for age of Ultron!

-AoU Footage is a given.
-Entire AoU cast (basically a repeat of SDCC 2010 with added Olsen, Johnson, Cheadle, Spader, and Bettany? That's a lot of people. Let's go with MOST of the cast, lol)
-Casting for Doctor Strange
-Titles for their mystery movies of Phase 3 (crossing my fingers for Capt. Marvel or a reveal that Danvers is in AoU)
-Daredevil costume reveal or teaser

- AoU Cast interview
--- agreed some cast members may not be able to fit, Serkis' role revealed perhaps, Spader may steal the show
--- May do this panel in two halves, original returning actors then new guys, in general, will have to reformat this segment
- AoU teaser/footage/post-credit scene for GotG
- AoU will dominate the panel
- Ant-Man will get a lot of focus to assuage fears, director full cast panel
- Announcement of Cap 3 Title and inferred plot/villain
- Annoucement of Dr. Strange confirmed release date, short interview
- Announcement of Black Panther with title role cast, short interview
- Perhaps one other 2017 film title announcement, maybe GotG2
- Daredevil/Netflix Panel with cast, show runners and pilot director
- Epic finale with/for GotG

Surprises are surprises. Maybe they'll trot Dr. Strange, Black Panther and Daredevil out on stage at once or something. Maybe the Avengers cast will come out wearing their costumes. Maybe Rocket Raccoon and Groot will somehow make an appearance/video message (sounds expensive).

Have Doctor Strange Fly in, Introduce Black Panther teaser with the sound of a panther. Cool things like that.

They got damn near all of the cast of X-Men: DOFP last year. Why not for Age of Ultron?

Out of the main Avengers from the first film, it would be awesome to see them all there, even though they are still filming.

As for everyone else, I'd say Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders are most likely going to be there. Same for new cast members Johnson, Olsen and Spader. They're no strangers to the Con. Bettany's a strong possibility. I don't think Cheadle is going to have a big role in the film, so I'm not sure about him being there.

Clark Gregg will definitely be at SDCC, he'll probably only stick to the Agents of SHIELD panel. But it would be awesome to see him at the AOU panel, maybe as a moderator?

Eh, if you cut Gregg and maybe Jackson, add in Olsen/Taylor plus the others that's only 13 or 14 people, including Wheodn & Feige. X-Men had about 18 people up at once last year.

That'll close the show, they don't have any bigger guns than that.

Otherwise:
Agent Carter/ AoS cast.
Daredevil reveal - footage or concept art, as well as news on the other Netflix shows.

Ant Man cast & director. Maybe concept art or test footage.
Announcement for what some or all of those recent release dates are and little updates on Cap3 &Thor3.
Doctor Strange chat with Director/writers, maybe concept art.
Something for GotG, maybe the cast and/or footage.
Close out with AoU cast & footage.

- Announcement of Black Panther with title role cast, short interview

I wouldn't get your hopes up on that one. We haven't even had rumours of directors being looked at, nor writers, let alone casting the lead.

To be honest, I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if we hear of any titles beyond Cap 3, Dr. Strange, and Thor 3 (on the film side). There's no way they're announcing titles all the way out to 2019, and even through 2017 is unlikely, IMO.

When you look at the past few SDCC's, in 2012, the big news was GotG (in 2014). In 2013, the big news was Ultron (in 2015). They seem to go out about 2 years, so this year will go out to 2016, which is Dr. Strange. Tacking Thor 3 in there as well is a no-brainer, since its also supposedly in production. But anything beyond that, I expect, will probably get a coy "you'll just have to wait for next year to find out" from Feige.

But like I said, I hope I'm wrong!

as long as they announce Black Panther movie, I will be happy

Black Panther and Doctor Strange.

Kthnxbaibai.

Actually the big news at SDCC last year was Avengers: AOU, and Antman.

True, but they're both 2015 releases announced in 2013, roughly two years away, which was my point.

In fact, a better argument against my "two year" case would be to point out that Ant-Man actually showed test footage in 2012 (three years before its release). But that might just be an exceptional case in terms of having been in pre-production for such a looong time, and Wright taking a break to finish another film.

Despite the Ant-Man footage being shown in 2012, nothing new after Ant-Man was announced in 2013, so it seems like they're reigning things back.

I wonder if they'll be able to surprise us all like last time with the announcement of Age of Ultron. We were all expecting it to be Thanos.

I want the titles of the first 3 movies after Cap 3.

That's my most anticipated news from comic-con. Even more so than Avengers 2 footage.

I think we'll see all of the movies from 2016 & 2017; next year we'll see what's in 2018 & 2019.
