Yeah Xavier had useless powers in XML2 but I disagree about Sunfire and Phoenix, they were great characters.

Sunfire and Phoenix were by far the BEST characters in XML2. They had potential to be ridiculously overpowered

Knowing that it'll start with Secret War, I must say I'm really looking forward to the Cinematics. How awesome would it be to see Cage, Spidey, Daredevil, Wolverine and Cap fighting dozens of super powered bad guys, in full CGI glory?

Games really shouldnt even have to do CGI anymore. Technology has changed so much, that so many games just use their in game models for custscenes and they look amazing bc the graphics are so much better. I think MuA is the only game I own for my PS3 that uses CGI FMVs for cutscenes. All the rest dont need to. I wish that they'd actually take advantage of the 360 and PS3's power and increase the quality and look of the character models, so this game doesnt need to either.

The ingame cinematics have to be improved and they have to add more of course. I really didnt like the dialogue scenes like with the scorpion where you are just basically looking at text in a text box that takes over most of the screen.

Other than that I really like these games

Well words are very delicate things. People often mean to say that they are tired of the "same old" type of game. Not necessarily the genre itself. I'm not disagreeing with you Pat, it -IS- hypocritical to hate it but play it if you're simply complaining in general.

Like me, I'm tired of fighting thousands of nameless, faceless hordes. I loved how Shadow of the Collosus was a string of boss fights cutting out the middle man. It made for a better game with more creative boss fights. Games could strive to be like that. But it wouldn't work everytime or else THAT would become boring.

Making things, different, yet fluid and fun is hard. But that hard work pays off in the end.

I don't think the decision to make X-men Legends came from making an RPG and deciding to use Marvel characters, I think they had the characters first and felt that an RPG would do the best for what they wanted. That said, maybe now it might be time to do an Action/Adventure featuring a number of characters...or make the game more like Kingdom Hearts as an Action RPG.

I'd like to play something like Marvel Nemesis with only Marvel characters and a comic-based storyline.

The character I thought would have been awesome to play, Silver Surfer, was horribly boring in the last game.

Really? I loved SIlver Surfer and used him all the time. His rapid tap 'lightning' move was my favorite, his beam attacks were great and he had by far the best heal in the game

Yea, he bored me to tears.

Captain America was probably my favorite to play in the last game.

I didn't care about anyone else... I just wanted to play Cap. I'd keep a flyer on the team for good measure and I'm a big Black Panther fan so he was my second... but none of the other characters meant anything to me... the ones I like in comics had weak saucy gameplay, to me. I could barely stand BP sometimes.

I read the article in the video game magazine... this might be interesting. I'm glad its not based entirely around Civil War but as a whole plotline to it.

i'm not gonna buy it. however that doesn't mean that i'm not gonna play it. i'm just tired of the same gameplay mechanics in every one of these games, it's become very repetitive. the only one i own out of em is x-men legends 2. i rented ua and played it quite a bit but got bored with it pretty quickly.

im huge marvel fan so i bought the game and played it and beat it at least seven times getting different results and character combos espescially after the dlc came

i not only bought it cause im a fan but i like the the gameplay. it works well with the large cast of heroes, you never know every one of these games had something different about the mechanics.
im sorry i used the word 'pathetic' i forgot how sensitve you people are i meant no harm to whomever i offended i will edit my statement so nobody else takes it the wrong way.

And enough about playable character speculation. Anyone wondering what kind of stages or Bosses might be in the game? I think I'd like to see:

Stages:
The Raft
The Savage Land (Probably in one of the XML games but I didn't play em. Hopefully get to see Ka-Zar)
Kree World
Dormammu's Dimension
Las Vegas (Invaded by villains or aliens or something)

Bosses:
Sinister Six (Any sort of Classic grouping with Doc Ock leading)
Dormammu
Thanos
Original Thunderbolts (Any grouping of the original group seeing as how you may be able to play as the new ones)
Dr. Doom (Again yes, but less of a God this time and more of cross between Iron-Man and Dr. Strange.)
