At this point, given everyone's disappointment with the character lineup. I'm almost tempted to wait for them to come out with a Gold Edition somewhere down the line that has all of the DLC on the disc and see if it's worth it.

I'm leery of buying the game at release and hoping for good DLC that never comes.

They said they'd basically have to redesign the game to include that, so I wouldn't count on it ever being in.

Regarding DLC: I think we need at least an Avengers pack. The Avengers and the FF, more than anyone else, were at the heart of Civil War's story. I personally find most of the Avengers in the game's initial roster pretty crappy, so I really hope they pad it out with a more classic Avengers DLC pack.

The game really could have used Hawkeye and Vision...plus Quicksilver would be pretty awesome to play.

Herc really should have been playable. He participated in all the major fights, Hank Pym is another that is woefully missing.

I imagine Hank will be an NPC, at least. Herc would've been great as a character but, honestly, he'd just be another tank, so he wouldn't bring much to the gameplay.

Since Thor and Hulk are locked up I really don't know who to have in my starting roster.

I know Iron Man and Gambit are the first two.

I guess if I'm going to have a female on the team it's going to be Songbird or Ms Marvel.

The last one, I'm going to break a cue stick in half and have Spider-Man, Daredevil and Wolverine fight for the remaining spot.

After I unlock Thor and Hulk and the teams reunite, my team is going to be the "Big 3" and Hulk.

There are a whole slew of Marvel characters that would be fun to play. It saddens me that the group seems to consist of a bunch of characters that have been in all the games since the beginning.

I kind of wish they delved into at least a couple of the more obscure characters.

I'm not sure whether I'll cheat to get Thor from the beginning anymore. Odds are I'm gonna play the game at least twice anyway, so I might just hold off until the second time through. Maybe play pro-reg first so I can have Thor on anti-reg with Cap.

Not that I recall. I assume they would, but who knows? I don't really care much about achievements, personally.

Whats this about not getting all the characters first? Who do we get

Based on the bits and pieces we've heard so far, it seems like first we get a team of a few characters for the Secret War/White House/Doomstadt segment, then more characters become available for the Civil War segment, then you need to collect items to unlock Thor, the Hulk, and Jean Grey (I think).

Its not simply about being a powerful mutant bc many powerful mtuants down apply. Manipulating energy on the molecular level is one of the criteria and the ability to exist as is the ability to live beyond their physical form. They also have an unlimited potential. Contrary to what people may think, Magneto is not that powerful and he has reached his potential already. The guy peaked during the Magneto War story and he pretty much burned himself out. For years he needed to rely on Fabian Cortez to boost up his powers and then he was using Polaris to mask his fluctuating power levels from the world. He really hasnt been too impressive since

Despite him not being that powerful, he has done the things I've mentioned and without the help of Polaris and Fabian.

Since it's Activision and MUA1 had a Gold Edition, I think it's safe to bet they'll try to double dip.

I'll pick up my copy but won't open it. I figure they'll announce Juggernaut being DLC within a month of me picking it up.

I really dont understand why everyone is complaining about the line up. There are 24 characters.... plus what ever else we get in DLC eventually....

I looked at the roster again and I think its pretty solid.

Iceman, Deadpool, Jean and Daredevil are going to be what I start with. And then if I dont like them .... YOU CHANGE IT. Honestly what is so wrong with the characters we got ?

The problem is almost everyone has a terrible alternate costume. Some even have horrible default costumes. They don't even include their traditional costumes in the box. They're saving so much for DLC just to nickle and dime their customers.

Well, Jennifer(GMRJEN) said once that if there really is that much demand for a CE edition of the game, they might do one down the road....so that will probably be the same thing as a Gold Edition.
