Don't remember if it was Dan Tanguay or News Lad, but they said that for DLC all characters are allowed-they don't need to be tied in to the story at ALL. And they recently announced that the DLC they have right now is going to be really fun-so this makes me think its a different mode of play?

The problem you run into there is that it'd be hard to establish Clor as a creation so powerful that a team up of the Marvel U's best heroes can't topple him with ease. Robo Fury sucks, but because it's their own brainchild they could give him as much power as they want, because he has no particular background. I mean, I know Thor packs a punch, but are we going to say that the other 24 heroes couldn't have take his rear out?

I still like the old idea of having a villain take the lead in the final Act and reunite the heroes. Among other things, it doesn't slap the Pro-Reg side in the face (like having Tony Stark build an uncontrollable monster does) as much as the comic version of Civil War did.

I think, personally, that the main list of characters in the game itself could...and probably should have been...completely 100% to fit into the storyline.

The DLC? I would say it ought to be a ****ing free for all with all superheroes on the table.

And to be honest, it's looking like the cool factor of being able to play as our favorite Marvel characters will be THE reason to get this game. The story has me feeling tepid. And the alternate costumes do too.

What's everyone's favorite Alternates? Because so many of them seem...bad. Wolverine's is kinda nice. Iron Spidey is kinda cool, if you like the suit that is.

I like Iron Spidey's, Deadpool, Daredevil, Goblin, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jean Grey, Captain America, and Ms. Marvel's alternates....the others I could really care less about.

If the crap is true, I hope it would be the *Fail* that Marvel or Disney considers as the trigger to fix their games or movies. Never ever give the storyline job to a third party. Get their own Dini (Matt Fraction for the Iron Man 2 game is a step to the right direction) and have more respect to their characters as a whole instead of just in for the money.

Talking to someone whose beat the game it seems from what hints he's given me that this is the equavilant of Clor and looks to be of Stark's doing and it gets out of hand. At least that's what I infer.

Pretty much, Robo-Fury is Stark's creation, his F-up, and because he can't stop him alone, he's gotta go to Steve and ask for help?

Not bad. His costume's a little busy for my tastes--it looks like they based it on Bianchi's redesign, which I've established I'm no fan of--but it's far from his worst look.

that's what i assumed when i just read this news...

story wise and since they didn't want 2 thor's in the game, I can totally see why they did this... and it honestly does wrap up things nicely from the beginning of the game. So i'm actually fine with all that.

What I'm not fine with however, is the fact they made this sound like an equivalent to silver surfer, and was someone fans really wanted... which was incredibly misleading and incredibly disappointing to all of us.

It's got that... eh vibe from me. In MUA you knew everything was building up to a massive knockdown brawl with Dr. Doom, and halfway through you found out that it was God-Doom. Which was fun looking forward to.

A final battle with a robotic Nick Fury?

Meh.

This wouldn't even have excited me if I'd avoided the spoilers and been taken by surprise. It just doesn't have the pop.
