It's all how this generation is..it's all about the exclusives and downloads.

I wouldn't mind some downloadable content, like extra costumes, characters and even missions if they can somehow pull that off, but it pisses me off that they have console exclusives.

If they want exclusives then they should do it like the Soul Calibur franchise does. But don't take characters that are part of the Marvel Universe and then tell a specific group of players you aren't allow to play as them because you don't have the required console.

Unfortunately, that's how MS and Sony want it...it's the only way to pull people to their console. =/

Nintendo probably could care less...but that's probably one of the reasons why they don't get as good of exclusives.
 
Actually, Wii, 360 and PS3 all got Moon Knight and Colossus. But the 360 was later the only console that got the Hero and Villain packs.

Seriously, I wouldn't mind if they put Master Chief in the 360 version as a gimmick, but don't make actual Marvel characters exclusive.

PS3 and 360 also got more levels than Wii did.

Yea, it's not fair that actual characters will be exclusive, but it's either that or costumes (like with Iron Man for PS3/360). With a game like this, there's not much you can do...

How does SC handle exclusives? I've never played that series.
 
I was thinking more on the lines with the PSP. With XML2 and MuA, both games were released with 4 PSP exclusive characters. Thats crap since the console versions dont directly compete with a handheld. I didnt mind the 360/PS3 launching with Moon Knight and Colossus over the PS2 as they justified that as given users more for their money since they were more expensive

As I understand it, Sony asked Activision to do that for PSP just to get the game to sell.
 
How does SC handle exclusives? I've never played that series.

In SCII each version of the game got a console specific character. The Gamecube got Link, who was pretty neat. The Playstation got Heihachi from Tekken, armed with gauntlets. And the Xbox got Spawn, who's story was that he traveled back in time to get the Soul Edge.

Now in SCIV, the 360 will get Yoda and the PS3 Darth Vader.

With stuff like that I've got no problem, because they take characters from other franchises. It doesn't really make sense, but it's just for fun.
 
I don't think that'd work too well. Maybe Samus for Wii, Master Chief for 360, and uh...whatever character Sony has that's still exclusive (honestly, I'd say someone from FFXIII but....) maybe Sephiroth? :P

But then, you'd run the risk of people saying that's a bad character, like they did Elektra and Blade in M:UA. If you pull from the comics, it has to be someone REALLY obscure that no one remembers or cares about.
 
And Fox and New Line apparently because of The Thing and Blade in the last game.

blade got a similar comic look after his movie.. so that was kinda mute... and things had a costume similar to his movie one before so thats kinda why it was there as well.
 
In that case, make Dazzler an exclusive. I won't be too heartbroken if I can't play as her.
 
I'm really hoping for no console exclusives. It wouldkill me if I missed out on one of my favorite characters, or if I had to buy two copies!
 
Dazzler, Nathan? You're not thinking hard enough. Make them characters we REALLY won't care about missing.

As for Sony, I think the more popular choice would be Kratos from God of War. He's probably Sony's biggest character
 
See? Now that would've been a good exclusive. Nintendo players get to smack Marvel villain butt with Samus, and I'm not bothered because I'm not missing out on a Marvel character.
 
Yeah, I wouldn't mind an exclusive like Saumus or Link, but honestly I'm one of the few that would be hurt if Dazzler was not on my videogame console of choice, I love that crazy disco dancin' mutant!

Maybe we should start a HUGE anti-exclusives topic when M:UA II's VIP site pops up. I mean huge, like the developers and Activision just CANNOT ignore it. That way, they'll know what to do with their exclusives. :P

It seems, no matter what console one has, they still hate exclusives. We should be able to band together to make an anti-exclusive topic and force them to NOT have exclusives or at least not have any good ones.

It wont make a difference as its all about money. They have put platform exclusives to help push sales and will continue to do so. I mean will people not buy the product bc of it? I think not
 
bc Marvel loves her. Id rather they had her sit this one out. Thor is a good enough substitution for those who want to use those powers

If Iceman ends up in the game too the developers are just plain lazy then.
 
yeah, I'm kind of over playing Iceman. I love the character, but unless he get some really new, revolutionary types of moves, I just don't think it's worth it
 
In MUA1 i felt that they didn't take that many other important playable X-Men characters besides Wolverine, Storm and Colossus.

Important X-Men characters that were not playable in MUA1.

Gambit: (He has cool kinetic powers and attitude)

Cyclops: (I don't like Cyclops but then he is the team leader and that makes him important)

Nightcrawler: (Teleportation is an interesting power and can come in hand for some situations, such as locked doors and fast agile ass kicking)

Jean Grey: (In MUA1 the character was just an NPC that can die but there's more to the character then just ending up dead)

Beast: (I know that he is too similar to Nightcrawler but he is one of the most important original X-Men characters)
