Just pre-order it an if they decide to make a incredible collectors edition you can always cancel the order an transfer w/e you'd payed off the original to the new version. I did the same thing with Halo 3.

That's a much bigger hassle than just waiting. Pre-ordering it sooner won't really make any difference anyway; I'll still get the game.

I'd hope so. I'm thoroughly underwhelmed by what we've seen so far.

I mean, the entire concept of only having 24 playable characters in a story about THE CIVIL WAR OF THE ENTIRE FREAKING MARVEL UNIVERSE is bad enough. But throwing almost entirely the same olds at us? Bah.

24 characters better be the initial starting roster and we get more through unlockables and DLC.

That's why we get all the random characters who showed up throughout the titles and in the background that I didn't even know to be NPCS filling up each side.

I hope this isn't a double post. I just want Cable, Madrox, Dagger, Cloak, or any 3 of the 4. I think that it will be Venom and Green Goblin. Which is not my choice, but I know there is a lot of demand for them and they have been anounced before so...who knows what'll happen tomorrow. Cable played a rather large role in the anti-registration forces, so he should be there.

That said, with this "pick your side" thing, they may make him an NPC and grid-lock him to the Anti-Registration team. Which'd be a shame, because I'm playing pro-reg.

And technically, he wasn't anti-reg. He supported the idea in theory, but he knew that it would eventually lead to using superhumans as enforcers/police for the government.

It wouldn't surprise me if he is. He could be a fun character, though. Guns, telekinesis, and telepathy are an interesting combo.

Well in Civil War Cable didn't actually have any mutant powers. His TK and telepathy was electronic. Dunno if they'll go that route in the game though, it's a bit complicated

That route's fine for a developing character in comics that'll run forever, but for a video game it sucks. I want guns and psychic powers.

Yea for sure, no need to explain how he lost his powers and replaced them and all that, I just wanna kick ass with him!!!

Yeah, Cable'll probably wind up getting his usual powers back at some point anyway. Giving him his technopathic substitutes would be like giving the game's version of Spider-Man those big ugly spikes he used in "The Other." Robot limbs, lots of guns, and low-level TP and TK = classic Cable.

I think it's already started. A few issues back when Cable was in that weird utopian city that was being invaded by those giant roaches he said that he could hear the "buzzing" again. My theory is that something will happen between Cable and Stryfe and Cable will be able to get his powers back. Just a guess...but that's what I would do.
