Marvel Vs Capcom 2

I didnt see a relevant or recent thread on this game so i have a question.

Is this worth 1200 points if I dont have Gold and no friends to play with? heh....

I can either get this or 3 other 400 point games (Doom, TMNT arcade, Marble Blast)

so are their any helpful opinions to sway my decision making? Is the single player in MVC2 pretty cool? I love marvel and love fighting. I dig the graphics and art n all that too.

We can discuss this game here too, as im interested in peoples opinions and experiences with it.

I just bought it off of PSN. The game can be rewarding if you take the time to practice. The single player is pretty unforgiving. The easy mode would be considered hard on most fighters. If you like Marvel or Capcom characters it can also be nice to see them gp head to head.

Its MvC2. Thats all you need to know. It was a fantastic game on the DC and its a fantastic game on XBLA/PSN. Get that over the games you mentioned.

Thanks, good thread. Im just a total noob to MVC2. I was never into it back in teh day.. i thought it was rather behind the times but i guess I was wrong. I loved the demo and want to play all the cahracters!

Just afraid after single player is over and Im done with the characters that ill be done with it.. not much else to do since i don't have gold.

Well thats a valid concern. I mean the single player is great fun to just pop in every now and then, but it's not that difficult and there isnt really much to it. Still its a great fighting game tho featuring some really awesome characters.

Yea I was considering it, but the demo wasnt enough for me. It didnt really capture me the way its suppose to I think haha. But I will probably give it a chance eventually.

I did buy MvC2 though, and its pretty cool so far, having fun with it. Hopefully ill be able to play it online eventually. I got a bit more points to get Doom along with it too so Im satisfied for now. Just need Marble Blast, TMNT arcade and Splosion man.

Ah I'm just a fan of Metroid.

At least you got your money's worth. I impulse bought MvC2 and then ran out of money. FML. I'll prolly start playing it so it wasn't a complete waste, but it's all goood. Doom is pretty kickass too. :heart:

No I get ya, MVC2 was kinda impulse buy for me too. Im sure id probably get more out of Shadow complex if I would have went for that. Theres just something about MVC that appealing to me. Ive been playing it now alot and its pretty good. Im getting better at it and figuring out more combos and things. I cant imagine what vets play like. Id get my ass handed.

Dooms been good. Everything seems so fresh anyway cause I barely even remember 80% of the levels haha, so its good. Plus this arcade Doom is a more accurate port then the PS version i used to play.

I think Marvel vs Capcom 2 is a waste now. I've played it on and off so much, that without friends to play it with, it's not worth it to me. I used to love it so much, but I realized that to me personally it's only fun in multiplayer.
